Tickets for more than 10 days?

We are WDW vets and usually go for 10 days. We are crazy park people and always spend everyday in the parks. Next years we are planning on being there for 12 or 13 days. I just read on the tickets thread that I cannot purchase more than 10 day hoppers. What do I do then? Buy 2 or 3 day hoppers to add on to that?

That will be expensive for only a 3 day hopper. Ugh.

Get the Fun and More option and spend a couple days at the water parks.

Annual Pass doesn’t work for us because we only go once every couple of years.
If you are staying onsite then go to guest services at your hotel and they can add extra days to your tickets beyond the 10 day ticket.

We did this in December last year. They can add 2 or 4 days...maybe more but we only needed two.
It cost me roughly $10 a day per person so I paid around $40 for for my son and I.

Ok, that what I was hoping to do but I read on the ticket sticky that you could not add days to a 10-day ticket.

We’re usually there during one of the two party seasons and just use those tickets for that’s days entrance. We hit DS or resort hop until 4pm when we can enter MK with our party tickets.

Just another option.

By policy, that’s correct. However, Disney does have the ability to add days as a customer recovery option when a customer is upset or has experienced a problem during their vacation. If your flight is cancelled and you’re stuck in Florida for an extra couple days, they’ll help you out. It’s still subject to the 14-day expiration, and it’s only supposed to be offered when a guest is upset. You wouldn’t be able to sweet-talk your way into getting the extra days.

AP would make sense in this situation, plus with all the dining and shopping discounts even if you pay a little more for that AP you will likely save more with all the discounts. Plus if you can fit in another trip within 12 months then you could go without needing to buy tickets and you could likely get an AP discount on your room.

This is not consistant. I tried at my resort, Disney Springs, and Epcot last Nov. and none knew of this. Epcot did eventually gave me a 1 day tkt because I was so persistant(or clueless)!

I'd go for AP.

I just asked at Guest Services at Animal Kingdom Londge to add two extra days and she did it. I wasn’t upset, all I did was ask. My friend who traveled with us but who was staying at POR did the same. She only needed one extra day and over there they actually just added hers without charging her any extra.

I agree that if the CM you get doesn’t know about the procedure then you will have a hard time getting it done. I was just lucky that the one I got and the CM that my friend got knew it existed and got it processed.

I can tell you I had no luck trying to add just one extra day a few months ago. We had three moves this past trip, All Stars Sports, AKL-Kidani and BLT; all the managers said it can't be done anymore. We had terrible problems with my MDX account, resulting in hours of time spent at each of the resort front desks. I'm talking up to 2 hours a day either at the resort or a park guest service desk. We missed MK fireworks because I had to work with Disney IT and the front desk. I say all this because at every point, I asked about adding an extra day and even though they offered a lot of guest recovery, they said they could not add an extra day to our 10-day tickets. As part of our recovery, one manager did give us each a comp day that we used, so our issue was covered.
