I'm taking my mom and my kids with me to Orlando when I go there for a conference. We're staying at POR the whole time. We're all going to the parks for 2 days before the conference, and 12yo DS and I are going to EPCOT for one day after the conference. (10yo DD#1 and I are flying down a couple of days ahead and doing Seaworld alone, and 4yo DD#2 and I are doing a princess dinner at the GF alone on one of the conference evenings.)

What am I going to do about tickets?? We can't do LOS or whatever they call them now because we'll be on site for 5 nights but only need two day passes. (I've already made the ressies, but I'm tempted to call and change it to two different ressies so that I can get LOS passes for just part of it.)

The conference I'm going to isn't offering short stay or evening passes. :(

I may get 4-day hoppers for DS and I, since we'll be doing 3 days anyway. But I hate to put the $$ out ahead for those only doing 2 days. And we wouldn't hop on the 2 days without the girls anyway.

I couldn't find the 3 day Alamo passes I've heard about.

Otherwise we'll have to pick 2 parks and get one day passes.

BTW, we've been to WDW many times, including a 2-day four park highlight trip.

Edit: My dad is retired military (and my mom is going with us) so we can get Stars and Stripes passes. But again, we're staying on site more nights.

Not new but this might help.
We are going for just two days too and after looking at all the options - we are getting two one day passes for each of us. My brother-in-law is also retired military and they offer reduced price tickets. Go to shadesofgreen.org and look at the attraction ticket prices. My other suggestion is go ahead and get the 4-day for you and your son but the one day ones for the rest of the family. I hope this helped.

You have to call for the Alamo tickets, there is not inforomation on their site. 1-800-560-2397

Since the PHs never expire, you could just get the 4 day PHs and save the unused days for a later visit. You already said you've been to WDW many times so I'm sure you'll go back.

I called the number for Alamo (from the mousesavers page) and was told that the 3-day tickets are no longer available.

Edit: This is Barb D; didn't realize DD was logged on!

Barb,
Thanks for the info RE: Alamo and 3 day passes. I just sent you a PM.

Three day park hopper passes are, or at least were, available through Central Florida Tickets. Thier web site is:

http://www.centralfloridatravel.com/default.asp

When you get to the home page, register as a member (no cost or obligation) and you will see the reference to WDW tickets. You can buy them on line. I just did and it took less than a week to receive them in the mail.
:hyper:

Ask about two-day-two-park (or three-day-three-park) tickets. These do not allow park hopping, may not be availble for all days of the year, and, although the days do not have to be consecutive, the passes expire a few days after first use.

They were introduced in response to Universal Studios' and Sea World's "come back tomorrow for a discount" promotions during less busy times.

(The nickname "bounce back pass" is obsolete.)

Gooferynmost, I called Central Florida Travel and they do still have 3 day hoppers ($160 adult/$130 child.) This may be just what I need! Thanks!

Call the company sponsoring the conference! I am in the conference business and know that Disney makes these conference tickets available. Perhaps if you called to express interest they would seek to get some from Disney. It doens't cost the conference company anything and they need to make their customers happy so it's worth a try.

DavidNYC, I already called the conference organizers. They said there hasn't been enough interest in the tickets at past conferences, so they're not offering them.

I ended up splitting my ressie into two parts; one night at the SoG/CR for the two days we'll be in the parks, and the rest at POR. Hopefully we won't have a problem getting Stars and Stripes unlimited passes for the 2 days. It'll be kind of a pain having to move, but I guess we'll deal with it!
