Tickets, Disneyland App, MaxPass

What is the correct/best sequence of events to use the app and MaxPass most efficiently? Here's what I think the best practice is, tell me where I'm wrong.

1) Each person downloads the Disneyland app.
2) Each person scans his/her own paper ticket into his/her app.
3) Enter the park. Each person swipes his/her own ticket or phone at the gate.
4) I (the MaxPass Czar) select "Get FastPass," scan all of the tickets and buy all the MaxPasses.
5) I can now schedule FastPasses for everyone.
6) The FastPasses I schedule show up on each person's app.

Is this correct?

That is correct, except you should probably scan the other peoples' tickets into your copy of the app before going through the gate, to save time. (Then once you're through, you can just buy the MaxPasses for everyone)

Can you just buy maxpass for some of the people you linked, say if one person is not there that day, or is it all or none?

And can 2 people both have control over each other's maxpasses or is only one person's phone allowed to get fast passes once set up?

You can buy MaxPass for any combination of the tickets you have scanned into the app.

I can't answer that one for sure as I've always done the MP reservations for my party, but I believe that MP is tied to the ticket, so anybody should be able to make (or cancel) reservations for the tickets that they have in their phones as long as they had MP purchased.

We had four tickets scanned into four phones, and each of the four phones could grab MPs for any combination of the tickets.

Thanks. I had read somewhere that you shouldn’t, but there didn’t seem to be a clear reason not to.
