Tickets & Dining Plan: 1st Time owner

Does anyone know the easiest way to purchase park tickets and the dining plan now that you reserve your rooms through DVC? This is our 1s vacation using our DVC membership and I keep getting different stories from DVC on purchasing park tickets. Any info woud be great

Buy tickets from undercover tourist. Go to mousesavers.com and sign-up for their monthly e-mails and you will get a link in the e-mail for the cheapest tickets I have ever found. The prices include tax and free shipping.

For the dinning plan, just call MS and add it to your reservation.

You must add the Dining Plan (or remove it) at least 48 hours prior to check in. Tickets are not available thru DVC so you should purchase them either online before you go or at the gate. If you want the DVC discounted AP's then you can purchase those at Guest Service at the gate too.

If you're getting regular park tickets, definitely go to Undercover Tourist. If you are getting a DVC discounted annual pass ($100 discount), you can also order them online thorugh the Walt Disney World Ticket Store ahead of time as well as getting them at the parks.

With the dining plan, DVC is not yet accepting pre-payment so you can add it to your reservation at any time, but, as of now, still will have to pay for it upon check-in.

I totally agree! We've used UT several times now and I'm always happy with their prices and their service. Plus, if you sign up for Mousesavers it definitely can save you a few extra bucks. I checked my ticket prices this morning for Mousesavers vs no Mousesavers. Mousesavers will save me an extra $20 total. $20 is $20!

I really can't add much to what has already been said. If your leaning towards the AP with the DVC discount you can call MS (you see I'm lazy and don't want to have to think too hard) and they will connect you to the appropriate person. They'll email a voucher that you can print and present at GS to pick up your AP. Remember that with any stay over ten days, or multiple stays that exceed ten days, the AP is more cost effective than the MYW media.

You can also get tickets from AAA if you are a member. I was going to buy through Undercover Tourist, then I found out that the ones I'm getting are even cheaper through AAA!

Do those prices include tax? When I check aaa.com, it links me to the WDW site for tickets. When I add them to the cart and adds the sales tax, its significantly higher than UT for a 7 day hopper.
