Tickets - Dear Budget Board help me out

Dear Budget Board,
Please help me out - what stores sell WDW passes not APS that might still have some on the shelves? I have DVC reservations. My DH and I have APs but our guests - two adults and their two children do not have tickets. We cannot plan forward (have them buy airline tickets, etc...) without a guarantee of being able to buy park tickets.

I heard Publix but there aren't any in the Northeast. If anyone knows this answer, it's the Budget Board. UT, Costco and AAA stopped selling the passes. There's got to be way.

I think it's pretty much the grocery stores in FL (Publix and one other) that sell them.
Same thing in CA, we have them at the Safeway stores and sometimes Target.

Have you checked your local Target (in-store, not online)

Also, when is your planned stay? I expect WDW will be opening up ticket sales, but not for a month

Not yet. Another Dis member said their Publix in S.C. had them.

How about Winn Dixie? Those are also mostly southern stores with locations in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Mississippi.

I think you're only going to find them in stores within a few states of FL.

I am aware hence the problem. We have the reservation and half of us have the tickets. I need to get more tickets so we all have tickets.

Got it, now I understand. Guess we're in the same boat. We have tickets but are waiting on Disney/DVC to open up and sell tickets for the rest of the family.

I called them last night - they couldn't tell me if they would let the rest of the party buy tickets.

Right now, new ticket sales are halted and they haven't announced when they'll be starting them up again. I assume you won't be able to purchase a ticket anywhere, no matter where you look. Not through any legit source, anyway.

Walmart in orlando/ turkey lake still had them in the kisok a few days ago i dont know how much that helps not being in Orlando. We have family there.

No, I have a reservation and an annual pass; my guests also have a reservation (in our room) - 2 bed villa - but no tickets. We will all also need a park reservation under the new system but one needs a ticket for that.

Somewhere in all the chaos I read that only tickets sold prior to June 6, 2020 would be given the "priority" access to the parks reservation system. Just mentioning it because you could go to great lengths to obtain tickets only to find the guests still can't get into a park. Good luck!

I found a blog post back in May that stated the sales of all tickets were halted and those with tickets/AP would be contacted prior to open sales. https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2020/05/an-update-on-walt-disney-world-resort-reservations/
We have our but the rest of the family doesn't. This should be interesting times. I haven't heard from Disney or DVC yet.
