I just got my park hoppers today from Discount Orland Vacation. I dont know what I was expecting but they seem a little flimsy to me. I guess I expected them to be more like credit cards. Has anyone else felt like this when they got their tickets? Dont get me wrong, I am sooooooo excited they came and that is one step closer for our first trip to Disney.

I know what you mean.
We bought our tickets for this past Dec on Valentine's Day 2004 at AAA. I thought the tickets would be like credit card material, but they were flimsy.
However, when I bought my MVMCP tickets from Disney they were the exact same looking ticket as the one from AAA but were made from credit card like material.

I was worried those paper tickets would rip or get stuck in the machines, but they didn't. I just kept our tickets in one of those 99 cent ID holders you wear around your neck. I bought it at WalMart in the section where they sell sunglasses and watches.

I hope you have fun on your trip. Our first trip was this past Dec, and we had a blast!! :flower1:

Thanks. I will have to get one of those holders for them. Its just that you look at these little pieces of paper and think "wow, that $500?) lol

Photo copy those darn little things too. It will make your life easier if by chance any get lost.

Yeah, don;t worry about the paper tickets, they are much sturdier than they look. They have a mylar substrate that makes them pretty tough.

But Luv2Roam is absolutely correct; photocopy them and keep the copies in a different place than the tickets. Take the copies with you to WDW. If you lose the tickets, you can take the copies to Guest Relations and get the tickets replaced.

I actually prefer the "paper" tickets to the plastic and from our experience last week the turnstyles do as well! I have an AP, my dh had a paper hopper but my two dd's had hoppers from the Disney store which were plastic. We had so much trouble with the plastic ones I almost went and had them replaced with the paper hoppers. They don't seem to have as much give going through the machine as the paper.

FWIW I have had an AP for the past three years, they are the paper, and all three have held up very well. I belive they have the tyvek in them - very difficult to destry which is evident if you have ever tried to rip a fedex envelope!!

I second the advice to copy the back of the pass as well as the receipt and keep them separate. If you should loose them they can be replaced with the proper information and ID.

Enjoy
TJ

Thanks for the advice. They came with a copy of the back of the tickets already photocopied but I am so neurotic about this trip that I will probably make 10 more copies.

They are sturdier than they look. Our passes kept getting demagnitized last week and I couldn't understand why as we didn't have a cell phone or any other electronic devices. Finally one of the CM's told me sunglasses would do it as well. I have the magnetic sunglasses that go over my regular glasses and had not even thought about them. We had no more problems after I kept my sunglasses away from the passes
