Tickets bought through Expedia. How much credit will Disney give?

Hi there. I purchased tickets for our now cancelled March trip through Expedia. I bought them when they had that glitch that allowed a discount code to be applied to the tickets. They are flexible date tickets.

Disney has extended the expiry date on the tickets to January 15 2021. When I had to cancel my trip Disney told me if I could use them by then they would give me credit for what I paid towards new tickets. Does anyone have any idea how they calculate this? Since I paid in Canadian $ and I got some money off from a discount code I’m not sure how to figure out how much credit I will get.

I’m now thinking it’s not likely we will get to Disney this year.

Also has anyone had any experience with Expedia refunding the tickets? I know they say they are non-refundable.

I have some info from my experience that might help you but it happened last fall so I might not be remembering all the details accurately.

We had already bought tickets through Disney but then that expedia glitch happened. I called customer service to make sure if I were to buy the expedia tickets, I could get a refund on the other ones I bought. She said yes, so I went ahead and bought the expedia ones and later found out through the next agent that I was not entitled to a refund on the full price ones.
However, this second agent saw both sets of tickets on my account, the original ones and the expedia ones (I hadn't told her where I bought the discounted ones). She kind of rudely said to me, "you know, you only saved a dollar or so buying your tickets through undercover tourist." I told her I would have never gone through this trouble to only save a dollar, in fact, i was saving 25% from expedia, not undercover tourist as she assumed. (I assume she saw a dollar or two different because she saw it in USD and the exchange rate changed slightly because the expedia ones were converted from CAD). BUT, she said the sets of tickets were showing up for her as only about a dollar or two different. THIS MIGHT MEAN you will get a credit of the original ticket value because that is the figure the Disney agent saw, not what I actually paid through expedia.

But of course I'm assuming based on what this agent said she saw, and I got my courtesy refund from Disney, not through expedia.
