Hi

I'm thinking of purchasing the 10 day hopper for 2 adults and 2 children the best price I have seen is from "themeparkland" they are offering 185 (adults) and 145 (children) including free character breakfast. Can anyone beat this.

Also whats everyone's opinion on the 10 day hopper for a first time family to WDW, do you think it is good value. My kids are 9 & 7 and are not ride thrill seekers.

cheers

Debbie

Check out Virgin as they will price match & they have a proven track record. If you decide not to go for the 10 day ticket, check out ticketmania.com as they have a variety of tickets no p&p charges & have always delivered within about 10 days. THe strong exchange rate helps too. I have used them on numerous occassions. With regards to vfm, the question you need to ask is are you going to visit other attractions? If you are also planning on Universal, IoA & Seaworld you will have no "down time" & will need a hoilday to get over the holiday! Only you can decide at the end of the day if you are doing a Disney holiday or an Orlando holiday - whatever you opt for, I'm sure you'll have a great time.

The 10 day tickets were brought in for the UK market as most Brits go for at least 2 weeks unlike the Americans who only go for a few days generally.
The tickets are great value because you can visit all the Disney Parks but don't have to stay all day to get value for money as most people have to do.
It also gives you the flexibility to go back to a Park if you had to miss a show or parade or if they are cancelled one day for any reason.
The question to ask yourself is , do you want to spend most of your time at Disney or do you want to divide your time to take in Universal, Islands of Adventure, Seaworld etc.
If you only want a few days at Disney a hopper pass which never expires might be better but only if you plan to return to use up the days you have left on it.
If you want to spend most of your time at the Disney Parks you probably won't get better value than the 10 day but it will only be good for one trip.

I've been checking around for prices as well.

Cheapest place I've found is
http://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk at £179 per adult and £145 per child.

I will confess I've never used this web-site but maybe someone out there has - I'd be interested in any feedback on the service.

10 days for a first visit is great so long as you plan to spend almost all your time in Disney and there is a special deal on them at the moment.

The 7 day hopper ticket is about the same price and has the advantage that days never expire but if it's your first visit and your not seeking the thrills of IOA then you'll probably use all the days anyway.

I would be wary of themeparkland due to recent problems see old threads. We used Ticketmania and can reccommend them as can lots of other dissers/dibbers

Whilst the 10-day World Pass is a good option, I believe a much better choice is the Fun In The Sun Pass.

This pass has ALL the benefits of the World Pass plus it has unlimited use for up to 30 days and gives entry to other attractions including the space centre.

This ticket wasn't meant for the UK market but can be bought from Paramount Travel. e-mail rosa@pit-email.com for more details.

With the exchange rate as it is, I think this pass also works out cheaper.

Daniel

Many thanks you have certainly given me issues to think about. I'm not a thrill ride person and neither are the kids but my hubby is and although I would be happy to spend all my time at Disney I think I should be fair and share time between disney and Universal. And we are going with my sister and family who also like the thrill rides. I like the sound of the 7 day ticket that doesn't expire - it gives me a good reason to plan another trip to WDW.

Cheers all

Debbie

i wouldn't plan on spending equal time at universal.....at most you will need 2 days there (we were completely done with it in less time than that, but 2 days is reasonable)...
we did universal at the beginning of our stay (we stayed at the portofino so that we could have express line entrance)....
it's good we did it at the beginning of our stay, because we hated universal, thought the service was terrible, found having to leave our bags in lockers at many of the rides annoying beyond words....
so it was great to leave and head for the happiest place on earth......we were sooooooooooooo HAPPY to get to WDW....and soooooooooooo relieved to get to a place that knows how to serve its customers.....
it was the wisest thing we ever did.....after 2 days at universal, going home to disney never felt so good....
