We leave for the airport tomorrow , pick the kids up from school then gatwick here we come lol:banana: this maybe my 12th time to orlando but im just as excited as the 1st time i went :cool1:

As for keeping the kids DD 4 DS 3 happy on the plane, my DD is easy got a few reading books drawing etc etc and she watches the tv 2, But my DS nitemare ive packed a dvd player for him a PSP books, But he cant sit still for more than 10 mins, so i think we will be spending most of our time (9hrs):scared1: taking him to the loo, *** thats all he wants to do when he goes somewhere new...

Early learning have a colouring box shaped like a small red suitcase with colouring books, pencils, stencils and other bits in it, they were priced at £6.

thanks, my daughter will quite happily colour in pictures for a few hours then probably sleep but my son will be hyper! was thinking of keeping him awake longer the night before(we have an 11am flight) then getting him up early in a bid to make him sleep on the flight, or do you think this is a bad idea?!?!

:cool1: :cool1: We leave 9 days after you.
We have got so far the girls disney colouring books,a cars pen set..We will get some more bits and bobs,8 year old has her nintendo ds.Hopefully we'll have a t.v:lmao:
They also get £5 each in the airport where they can buy some goodies.
I'm also going to get them some little suprises for when they declare they are "BORED":goodvibes :thumbsup2

Have a safe flight.
And fingers crossed our tickets arrive soon...

NOT long for us now :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Great news:thumbsup2 .For our dd's who will be 4+7 when we fly,i have already started to get a few things for them each,Disney colouring books+pencils,Autogaraph books,Minnie Mouse+Cinderella sun glasses,a Princess Minnie+a Ballerina Minnie(beanie soft toys),stickers.DD7 will also have her DS lite.x.

...i attempted to make colouring books for them and they actually worked quite well, i printed pages from the playhouse disney and nick jnr websites. Printed them out booklet style on different coloured paper and stapled them down the middle, they look pretty good, and arent huge like sandard colouring books!

I'd keep him in his usual sleep pattern before the flight-as much as possible. If you keep him up late and then he wakes at his usual time he'll be tired before you start. We all know what little darlings they are when they're over-tired :scared1: -mine are still the same, even though now teenagers.

Like others I'd reccommend lots of little surprises-new story book to read to him, simple card game, colouring (if he's into it) or those sticker book things, etc -as well as 'snacks' mine didn't always like the meals -and hungry has the same symptoms as tired-grouchy!:rolleyes1 Is he too young for a DS or PSP ?-I'm out of touch with 'little people'.

On our last flight I took colouring for my daughter and joined in myself for about an hour-I can't watch TV for 7-8 hours!!!
