We(2 adults, 3 kids---10yrs, 9yrs, 6yrs) are plannning our trip for October 2006, 7 nights. We already booked at a Sheraton Resort near Disney. My question is.....how many days should we plan on without spending too much and without falling apart, from exhaustion. We want to see as much as we can but we want to rest between days. What do you think? This will be our first time to go as a family!

I would say it all depends on how easily the kids tire out. However, kids somehow manage to have unlimited energy when it comes to Disney. :)

If you want to see all 4 Disney parks, and rest days in between then maybe a 4 day pass would be good, but you have to keep in mind water parks too if you plan on doing those also. When we go, we never have the energy to park hop but we're older and slower. :rolleyes1

So, my suggestion would be maybe a 3 or 4 day park pass, with the extra options if interested. We went for 11 days in April and got the 4 day park plus 4 extras, visited 4 parks, 1 water park, disney quest, we still have the no expiration 2 extras left, and we still had a few days of rest in between. Good Luck with your decision!

No matter what you buy, you can always increase the days on the ticket (add more days) when you are there. But you cannot decrease them. If you have doubts, buy only for the minimum nummber of days you think you will need. If it turns out you want/need more days when you're down there, it would only cost you a few dollars more to add them. Days are less expensive per day the more you add.

Welcome to the Dis!!

goldenOldie has given you some great information, and to help you out a little more, I'm going to pop your question over to the Disney with Families Board.:)

You may also want to have a look at the Theme Park and Attraction Stratgies Board as well:) Lots of great ticket info, too:)

HTH!!

So, if I only buy a 4 day ticket and then on day 4 I decide to add 3 more days, what do I need to do?
