I'm sure this was answered further up in the thread, but couldn't find an answer. We are DVC members and will be staying on grounds. If we purchase an annual pass, will we need to make park reservations (as AP holders still need to) or does staying on grounds supersede that? If we need Park Reservations, will we be able to make them for the length of stay?

Yes, you will need park reservations with an AP even if staying on property.
Yes, you can make a park reservation for each day of an onsite stay.

I have a Florida resident Sorcerer annual pass that expires on Thursday. I just tried to renew online - it allowed me to select the pass to renew (Sorcerer) plus my Water Park & Sports add-on, and select I was paying for the annual amount in a single payment.

However, after entering all the credit card information, address, etc., there was an error message saying that "Items in this order are valid only at applicable Walt Disney World Resort locations near Orlando, Florida."

Is this telling me that I cannot renew my annual pass online and have to do it in person? I'm certain I have renewed online in the past.

Sounds like an error. Call the passholder line.

Hello all! My parents moved to Florida last year and will be joining me this coming January for marathon weekend. How do they take advantage of purchasing Florida resident theme park media? Do they need to call ticketing or just purchase them online? Looking for single day tickets, not APs. Thanks!

I’m not sure if there are discounted 1-day tickets, even for FL residents. Maybe. There is often a 3-day or 4-day “Discover” ticket for FL residents that is valid for something like 6 months. Have them update their address in the MDE account (if not already) and they should be able to see the FL offers.

OK. Question for some ticket guru.

Had 12 year old 6 day PH tickets unused. Tickets bought from Undercover Tourist.

Spent about 30 minutes with cast member to add three of these tickets to account. Very very helpful cast member.

Was old paper stock.

They were loaded into our account and allocated.

They now show as MYW PH and no expiration option. Says can use until 2099 just like the 10 day same tickets with only 1 day left.

But here is my question, the original tickets were expire from 14 days of first use.

So does this just mean that once I use them, that expiration should show 14 days from first use or did I get some magical pixie dust sprinkled on them.

I guess will see on use. Maybe someone has seen this before.

The 3 and 4 day Florida resident Discovery Disney (DD) tickets expire the end of this September. I am a Pixie Dust holder and someone in our party purchased it by going up to the guest services at WDW.

You might want to wait until the DD ends to see if there is another Florida resident day ticket promotion. Another way is to simply go to Disney Springs and their ticket office which is very convenient.

It's kind of like the "expiration" date that shows for an AP voucher as 1 year from purchase date, but then will adjust to 1 year from activation. Your expiration currently shows 2099 but will then adjust to a 14-day window once you start using the ticket. There is no time limit on when you can start the ticket, but once started I expect it will adjust the expiration. Be sure to make theme park reservations when you plan to use these tickets.

Not sure if you can help me but thought I’d ask anyway….I have had an AP since 2014. At the time I purchased our first APs I also had 2 blue plastic cards each with 2 left over non-expiration days from previous visits. I just put these cards away for future use. In 2016 I had gone into the Guest Services at Disney Springs to ask them to confirm what I had left on the non-expiration tickets. They confirmed that tix each held 2 park hopper days and 2 water park visits and they offered to put those days onto my MDE. They did inform me that the water park days would not carry over. I could see the 4 non expiring days on my MDE until I visited the parks after Covid and then I noticed there were only 3 days showing up. I was using my AP so I assumed there had been a mistake when scanning into parks so I returned to the Guest Services and they insisted that there were only three days and no record of any day being used. They were adamant that if this had happened it would show up on their system. So I gave up. Now on my recent visit a few weeks ago I noticed there are only 2 non-expiration days showing up. I still have the blue plastic tix but nothing would show up on them now…does anyone know how those days might have just disappeared and not be able to be traced?

@Lsdolphin Did you have your AP prioritized so it would be used instead of the non-expiration days? What I think happened is occasionally the system picks the wrong ticket when you have multiple tickets in your MDE.

As to the first one -- it sounds like it was lost during Covid. As I recall there were a lot of ticket glitches due to all the extensions, etc. If you have already asked about that one and they refused to fix it, you can try again but I don't know that "it was lost during covid" will get you very far at this point.

As to the second day -- if you can pinpoint when it was lost that will help your case. If you know 3 days were there on X date and then on Y date only 2 were showing that gives them a specific window of time to look.

Going forward... if you can, try to shift the remaining non-expire tickets to an "extra" profile in your MDE -- maybe use your middle name or something. That way it shouldn't be touched when you use the AP because the system thinks it's a different person. If you can't shift them, the best defense is a strong offense: have the AP prioritized at a ticket window or Guest Relations, then check every time you enter a park to make sure it's correct. It's much easier to fix at the time it occurs and you are onsite.

I have some old 1990's tickets that were originally 3 day tickets with 1 day left on each.

My mom is coming with us this week -- a last minute surprise. Is there any way to upgrade one of those tickets to a park hopper ticket? I'm guessing not since they were partially used, but I figured I'd ask the experts here just to be sure.

Thank you!

Unless you get some pixie dust, those are not upgradeable. If they are not already in MDE and you'd need to stop at a ticket window or Guest Relations anyway, you can certainly ask but be prepared for no.

I have 5 day hoppers (2 tickets total) purchased in 2020 for a trip in May 2020 which didn't happen for obvious reasons. On the 'my tickets and passes' page on the app, it lists them and says they have 5 days remaing and are valid from 03/05/2020 to 12/31/2030, which is the model I have been operating on, as I moved to Europe shortly after Disney reopened and haven't had time/money to make a trip back to the states to go to WDW. Hopefully in like the next 2 years, but it won't happen in the immediate future.

I was looking at the app last night to double check the expiry date, and when I scroll to the bottom of that page, there is a section that has the heading 'Multi-Day Ticket with Park Hopper Option' which has the text 'This ticket is valid for single-day admission to all 4 theme parks. The first use must be on or by December 31, 2024'. Has anyone seen this or know if the tickets ACTUALLY expire in 2030, or if I have to use the first day by the end of this year? I tried talking to someone in the chat, and she said that she also shows tickets with a 2030 expiry date, but couldnt explain the bit at the bottom. She recommended calling the ticket people, but I would like to avoid an international phone call if possible.

Disney extended the expiration dates of tickets impacted by the pandemic closure a few times. The last official extension that I recall was to late Sept. 2021. I'm not aware of any official extension of such tickets until 2030, though with all the IT issues it's possible that occurred. To my knowledge, covid-era tickets that were not used by 9/26/2021 reverted to a credit towards new date-based tickets and that credit never expires.

I would say when you are ready to book your trip, and try to make a theme park reservation. If the system allows you to make a park reservation, the ticket is seen as valid.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this. We've been to WDW many times, but it's been at least 20 years since we had a room and ticket package.

The last time we went was in 2022 with old-style magic bands. If we use these, will the tickets be automatically linked to those bands? Thank you for any help!
