i just found out we -wife and 2 kids 9 & 11 - are going to be able to spend a couple of days in disney in march(last minute plan change). we will be flying in to mco at 11:00am and will have a rental car. planning on staying on site for three days (csr). we will have two full days and a half day (approx. 2:00pm on day of arrival. i need advice on tickets (park hopper?) and whether to get a ticket for half day or not? also would the dining option be worth it or not? we have not been to disney for 4yrs and stayed off site last time.

thanks for your help.

this board is great very helpful

With 2 and a half days I would recommend the park hopper, with proper planning if you are staying on property you could do an early extra magic hour and knock out most of one park in the morning, take a break for lunch and then head to another park in the evening, or have the flexibility of going to a park and then going to a different park just for a show or dinner.

I am a big fan of the dining plan, my advice is if you get it, do a little bit of research and figure out the best places to maximize the plan, you dont want to blow the meals at pecos bill's when you could have had steak elsewhere.

To my knowledge Disney does not have a half day ticket, single park, single ticket is the cheapest for of ticket they sell.

i appreciate the advise. should we get tickets for the first day or just get settled in and hang at the the pool and dtd or park tickets for all three days.

joedhe,

You might want to check out www.ticketmania.com for ticket prices. You probably could save a few dollars on a three day ph with expiration. If you sign up for www.mousesavers.com you usually can save a few more dollars by going into the ticketmania site from mousesavers newsletter which comes out on the 15th of every month. Every month Mary (Mousesavers) usually has a good discount with Ticketmania. Since you're going in early March you'll need to sign up for mousesavers quickly so you can order your tickets in mid February. I believe Ticketmania with deliver the tickets to the front desk at your hotel if there isn't enough mailing time before your trip. Not absolutely sure, though, since I always have ours mailed.

I'd go 3 day park hopper with dining included for the short time you are staying and other circumstances. Think you would get the most for your time, money, and trouble that way. Remember to buy passes ASAP as prices raise at least twice a year. :)
