I am looking at tickets for Derek and Julianne Hough. I had kind of written it off, since we have a lot of plans at that time, and of course, the associated costs. But, out of the blue, ended up looking at it, and there are two decent tickets sitting there, just off center, in the middle of the almost sold out main floor level. Hhhhhmmm??? Trying to figure how that would happen. Now I am SO tempted!!!

If I were independently wealthy, I would def. be buying the VIP front section tickets with a meet-and-greet photo op to actually see Derek!!!! OMG!!!!

I have no idea who derek or julianne hough is but I can tell you this- for some concerts/events it will says "ticket limit 6" well if its popular we push it and will order 6 sets of 2- sometimes ticketmaster catches it and other times they don't- when they do catch it they cancel 3 of the orders and then those tickets become available for others to buy and sometimes its not until 3 weeks after we made the purchase!

I have had great luck in the past when I only had to buy two seats. The night of a very popular, almost sold out concert I showed up at the box office and got 2 tickets on the floor, 13 rows back from the stage.

Lots of people got to concerts with 4 people it seems. Most of the time I do, so I think if you can do onesie-twosies, you can get pretty good seats. I don't find this to be the case with Broadway shows, but definitely on concerts.

promoters always hang on to seats for a VIP and will release them as the event gets closer. In vegas you will see full sections empty. I am with april, who are these people

I've had great luck getting good deals on sold out events close to the date. So many people buy tickets speculatively and then may or may not be able to get what they hoped out of it. As the event draws near, they get desperate and are just eager to make any portion of their money back. I've bought seats on Stubhub 30 minutes before a show starts.

I am envious. If it is a popular concert how do you even get through to ticketmaster to buy any tickets, let alone 6 sets of 2? I have tried so many times and almost always come up empty handed.

Dancing With the Stars! on ABC.

Derek, with his given partner, have won like half of the seasons.
LOVE Derek. Genius dancer and choreographer.

Julianne is great too. She used to dance/compete on the show. Now she is one of the Judges.
She was in that movie, musical, about the 80's with Tom Cruise.
She was the star in NBC's 'Grease - LIVE', last year.

I think those two tickets got snapped up!!!
Since I had decided not to invest the time and money, and didn't buy them immediately last night, I won't get to see Derek!!!!

Sometimes they figure out they can add more chairs after they see what the stage is like. Years ago dd wanted to go see Miley. Tickets sold out in an instant. A few hours before the show I checked and they had added two seats to the end of every row right against the cat walk. We paid $60 each. Everyone near us was bragging and complaining about how they had to spend over $1000 for their ticket.

There are a few of us trying at once (we are a charity and we use them for raffles etc) and have learned that once you log on and it says "sorry no tickets available" to keep trying because 10 minutes later or longer tickets reappear and we buy them!
