Ticket w/5th day free question

I'm booking room only for October and was planning to purchase two 5 day base tickets through the "Official Ticket Center" website for DD and I. Noticed on their website today that they have an option for an "adult 4 day base ticket and get the 5th day free" $310.00 and a regular "5 day base ticket" for $315.50 . I know the tickets from the "Official Ticket Center" are hard tickets, can be loaded into MDE, and can also be upgrade to an annual pass after first park entry.

Disney is currently offering, in the spring promo, the 5th day free, for travel dates through June 15th. I guess my question is......Will the "5th day free" tickets through Official ticket center also end on June 15th since that's when Disney's promo ends? We aren't going until October so I didn't know if I needed to just spend the extra $5.50 for the regular 5 day ticket or if this special "5 days for the price of 4" ticket will still be valid in October. Does this make sense??? LOL.

I doubt they are connected in that way. And there's nothing on the Official page that says they are time sensitive.

Almost no difference, but undercovertourist has the same deal for a penny less per ticket.

Less than 5% chance of that being the case.

A "four-day ticket with a 5th day free" does not exist.
It is nothing more unusual than a regular 5-day ticket, with a "hyped description."

These kind of promos happen all the time and the tickets are not "special" in any way... that is to say that their value will not begin to expire until they are eventually used.

Thank you so much for the quick replies. I know I'm way over thinking this ticket thing but this will be the first time that I've NOT bought a complete package through Disney so want to have all my mice in a row.

Once last question concerning this topic, well two......When I bridge these tickets over to AP's after our first park day, will Disney recognize these as 4 day or 5 day gate price MYW base tickets? I'm assuming 5 day but wasn't sure. Just trying to figure out how much additional $$$ I'll need to pay at the time of the AP upgrade. Also, when I do the AP upgrade, can the difference be paid for with Disney gift cards or only cash or CC?

1. As I said, there are no "4-day tickets with a 5th day free."
These are regular 5-day tickets.

2. Yup.

3. Credit cards, debit cards, gift cards (any number needed,) traveler's checks, cash, or a combination of those.

Occasionally there are some offers for free days, or kids stay and play free, or free dining. This is all marketing hype!

Disney World has three main profit and expense centers: the Parks, Food & Beverage, and Resorts (including transportation). Each of these has to make a profit. (Actually there are more, such as merchandise and sports, for example, but they don't really count for this discussion.)

The Parks, including the theme parks, water parks, Disney Quest, get their money from ticket sales. It does not matter if these tickets are sold at the gates, by phone or online, by the Resorts, or by wholesalers such as AAA, The Disney Store, or authorized resellers.

Food and Beverage is all dining locations property-wide, including from Victoria and Albert's down to the ice cream or other snack carts. All money taken in by the Dining Plan (any level) goes to F&B and then down to the individual locations depending on use by Plan Guests.

The Resorts have the most flexibility as far as prices are concerned. If they are offering free tickets, they still have to pay Park Operations for the tickets they sell. If they are offering free dining they still have to pay F&B for the dining plans. The only way they can do this is by adjusting the price of the rooms. And they do not stack discounts. So if you are getting "free dining", you are actually getting a discounted price on the room but paying for the dining.

This is why a person making a discounted reservation at an AP rate cannot get free dining,l the Resort still has to make money.
