Is there a place that I can review the differences/advantages to getting an annual pass as opposed to a ticket. I will only be visiting for six days, so it may not be worth an annual pass; I suppose that depends on other benefits... Thanks for ANY information or suggestions. This is my first trip to Disneyland Paris, and I am so excited I can hardly stand it - it is even my first trip requiring a passport!! :yay:

I'm no expert at all and I 'm sure someone more knowlegeable will be along soon. I would think that for that length of visit a pass would be a good plan. Cheapest I have seen day hopper tickets is about 36 Euros via france billet, and this is not the simplest route to take. You can get a dream annual passport for 129 Euros. Plus if you are going with a child, they can get a free annual passport too. This seems like a great deal. You'd need to be aware of the exclusion dates for whichever passport you went for though.

I'm off next week. Getting quite excited now!:cool1:

Depends are you booking a stay onsite also?

if you are to be honest from what i discovered this year you actually get a pretty hefty discount on park tickets when they are included in your hotel package

I worked out using my room only costs with an AP that in comparison had i booked a "package" for the same holiday the park tickets worked out at nearly half price anyway when included with your room. So where I thought woohoo i paid less for an AP than I would for a 4 day hopper and it is unlimited-this wasn't the case at all not having seen how discounted the tickets included in your package are now.

If you want room only prices and want to add that to the AP cost (if you want I can spoonsor up to 6 people so AP will be 161 euros) and then compare that to how much a 5 night stay with 6 day pass would cost i would gladly help and get room only costs for you just PM me when you are looking to stay and where.

I always thought AP's cheaper but with the exchange rate being what it is and the introduction of halfboard plus again based on this exchange rate-it really isn;t saving you that much, not even on meal discounts...

I looked at the annual passport information, and was a little confused:

It says, "(1) Cannot be used on the 2nd and 3rd days following the date of purchase." Does that mean that if I purchase an annual pass, I can't use it for two days?

Also, I read about needing a sponsor. What does that mean (or does it not apply?)?

As always, thanks so much! Every response I have received in my four questions thus far have been so very helpful!

This only applies to the cheaper Francillien pass and not to the Dream and Fantasy passes.

You don't need a sponsor but it is 10% cheaper with one. There is a thread on here with people offering sponsorship. You can find the thread here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1104480

That's the beauty of these forums, there's so many helpful people about it makes trip planning easy!

There are 3 types of AP.

Dream is the most expensive but gives the biggest discounts and EMH if staying in a non disney hotel. This can be used everyday of the yr.

Fantasy is the middle one and is approx the same price as buying a 3 day pass. There are discounts with this but not as good as dream. There are also certain days in the yr when you cant use it to get into the parks.

Francilien is the cheapest - it cant be used on 2nd and 3rd day after purchase and there are more days when it cant be used.

There is a list of the blackout days on DLP magic so its worth checking there are none when you intend visiting.

We went for dream and it has more than pd for itself with several visits, discounts in shops, restaurants, subsequent hotel bookings etc.

Where are you thinking of staying?

If you book an onsite hotel tickets are included and it is very difficult (if not impossible) to book room only without actually having the AP so most people stay off site for trip when buying AP
