Ticket Use for the Day

New to this forum, but what a wealth of information. To get me started though, I have a question. We're taking the grandkids and staying off the park in a timeshare, although close to the entrance. Can we leave during the day and return to the same park the same day? I didn't plan on getting a park hopper ticket.

You can always leave a park, you may need a handstamp (not sure how they are doing that since the new tickets). You can return to the same park later in the day and only counts as one day. Should you choose to visit another park later that day you would need a park hopper.
