Ticket / Upgrading to AP Questions

I know this is an old thread so please move it where it needs to go but I’ve stumbled on this while I’ve researched upgrading to AP’s.
We have a Disney package in May that includes 4 day PH tix. We booked in November as a bounce back offer. Ticket prices have gone up since so...
1. Can I bridge my tickets to get AP’s?
2. Where can I find accurate ticket prices for when I purchased the package so I know if the CM calculated it correctly?
3. Is it silly for me to worry about a free dining package that we have booked for August? (I can get a similar deal same resort and rates plus dining not including tix)
4. If I want to keep my August package “as is” I can make pretend guests to ‘hold’ those tickets and then use them to renew or purchase new AP’s at a later date???*
*That might make me consider holding onto them as that package was also booked before price increases

Note - both trips were booked as packages, one over the phone as a bounce back and the other I did online

1. Yes.
2. I don’t know of any accurate list.
3. Personal preference.
4. If those tickets have never been used. yes.

Thanks so much!! I want to upgrade but don’t know how much credit we will get towards upgrading to AP. Ultimately I just want to get to wdw as much as possible lol

Note on number 4. This used to be the way to make sure to hold on to tickets for future use, and not accidentally use them when you have an AP. With date-based tickets, those tickets will now completely disappear from MDE when they expire at the end of your package and you will not be able to reassign them to you. The best way is to keep them assigned to the appropriate person on MDE and prioritize the AP. That way when you call to pay the difference to use them in the future, you can prove it was your ticket. You will need to keep track of them, Disney will not do this for you once they are expired.

Edit to add a few threads that should be read by anyone looking to save expired tickets for future use:

I remember when the first Free Dining offer after the advent of date-based tickets came out, the word was that you could NOT save tickets purchased as part of a Free Dining package to use later, as stand alone tickets or toward an AP upgrade or renewal. This was because they were only valid during the booked stay. So the only way to use them toward a renewal was when the AP's renewal window was open during the Free Dining trip.

I know that "expired" but unused regular tickets retain their value, to use toward future tickets, but this was a big discussion about Free Dining in particular. Is that no longer enforced? Or was never a thing at all, in spite of numerous posts about it?

Another specific feature of Free Dining tickets was supposedly that they could not be reassigned to someone else, once linked to a guest on the vacation package. Is this not true, either?

@Erica Ladd - Just FYI, I moved your post (and the responses) to a new thread. Sometimes old threads, especially ones about tickets, have old/stale info and/or quick-reading posters start replying to years old questions, so often a fresh thread is the way to go.

Enjoy your trip.

If you have already used days on your ticket and it still has days left. Then if you are in the MDE app and you press the little hamburger thing on the bottom right and you select Tickets and Passes, you can find your tickets and find the one you want to upgrade and it will tell you the cost. Which looks like it just subtracts what you paid for the original ticket from the AP cost.
If you haven't used any days you can't upgrade this way.
