ticket upgrades

Has anyone tried to upgrade Undercover Tourist tickets mid-trip since the last price increase?

I know that you used to be able to upgrade for the cost difference. Then I read you could only do it now if your tickets came directly from Disney. Then I read you could still do it with Undercover Tourist tickets. But I haven't seen where anybody actually tried and was successful or not.

Lots and lots of people, including me. For 3rd party tickets, upgrades work the same as they always have.

Nothing changed with ticket upgrades from previous years.

The information you saw was an unfounded rumor.
It caused untold unnecessary anguish for anyone who read it.

Just ignore that bad info.
You can continue to upgrade discounted tickets from
any authorized WDW ticket reseller, including Undercover Tourist.

Many firsthand reports from guests who have done so since that bad info was posted.

I upgraded a year or so old UT ticket to a renewal AP about 3 weeks ago. I first upgraded the paper ticket to an RFID and then used the ticket for one park admission. On my way out of the park, I stopped by guest services and bridge upgraded to my AP. The UT ticket at the current admission price was a few dollars more then my AP renewal and the CM applied the overage to my Table in Wonderland purchase. She did not have to do that part, but she did.

So no problems. Just know what your prices should be before you start doing the upgrade.

We are having trouble deciding whether to go to Sea World for a day or add another Disney day. We haven't been to Sea World since 1987!!

Whether or not FOTLK is open or not weighs heavily on our decision.

We are going June 10-17. We will have to wait and see I guess.

Be sure to USE your current WDW tickets to go into a theme park at least one time before you upgrade.
