We currently have a vacation starting 11/21, We are talking agout up grading to annual passes but I am worried I will lose my free dining if I do that. Does anyone know if that is the case.

Note that upgrading to AP cannot be done at resorts but there are guest relations booths both outside and inside the parks.

Don't do all the annual pass upgrades on the same day. Try an upgraded room key at the restaurant first. If it doesn't work then someone else has an unupgraded room key to use and when you get back to your resort that evening they can fix the room key(s) that didn't work.

Better alternative: Before leaving for the park your first morning have the concierge separate your admission onto a different ticket card. Then do the AP upgrade using this card. Contrary to what various CM's have said, separating your admission can be done whether or not some of the park days have been used.

We upgraded in September and were still able to use our dining credits. We did it the last day prior to dinner and the CM gave us a paper AP and we still had our dining & room key on the plastic card given to us at original check-in. Your best bet is to simply ask at Guest Services/Relations at the park prior to having it done.
