If you want to up-grade a 4 day park hopper to annual passport do you have to do it on the first day?

Nope--just make sure you upgrade before you leave the park for the last time!

But it's not a bad idea to upgrade after you use your Magic Morning, so you'll get your AP and its discounts. (You may get questioned by the CM if you upgrade on the last day--nothing bad but some people do feel interrogated when they're asked what time they came to the parks, what day they used their Magic Morning, etc.)

Be sure that if you upgrade after you use your magic morning that there are no blockout days the rest of your vacation. We just upgraded after our trip in June and now we're going back for Halloween time. Having an AP is a dangerous thing. :)
Have fun!

I have a question related to this....
lets say, you have 3-day park hoppers. you decided to upgrade to an AP on your 3rd day...does the year your AP is good for start on the day you upgrade or the first day you used your 3-day ticket?

It's backdated to the first day you used the PH.

Thanks for your help! We are getting 4 day Parkhopper's.. Might as well upgrade to the AP, for $200.00 more!:mickeyjum

Just be careful if you have purchased the Costco 4 day park hopper. Even if you upgrade their's, it will still expire in May, no matter what day you upgraded.

BTW- In regards to the post about upgrading the last day. One time I was upgrading and the very nice CM who was helping me, wanted to make sure that I could get in the next day, without being blocked. She proceeded to tell me, that she would have felt terrible, if I would have had to pay the block-out price. If so, she was going to advise me to wait, until I got into the park the next day to upgrade. So from experience, they are very understanding about waiting, until the best possible time. :thumbsup2

PS- Edited to post that I see you are from Nevada. Pretty sure you can not buy Costco tickets there.
Oh well...
Maybe someone else can us the info. :rolleyes1

I've seen something like this too and I've spent only minutes in the AP centers. They were making sure people used thier MM credit before switching thier tickets to an AP.
