Hey all! First off, thank you so much to everyone on this board! You have all been so helpful with the questions I've been asking. Thank you!

I am wondering if anyone can give me some tips on getting the best deal on tickets for family members who are accompanying a MAW child? I am trying to help my neighbor make some plans for her DS6's Wish trip, and her brother and nieces would like to come along. My neighbor has tickets through MAW for her family, but is wondering if there are any special deals for extended Wish families? I know about regular ticket discounts and sites like MouseSavers, but wasn't sure if there are any options for families who want to join a Wish child for their trip. They are looking for WDW, Sea World and Universal tix.

Thanks so much for all of your help! This board has been absolutely wonderful. I can plan a WDW trip for myself with no trouble, but I know nothing about Wish trips! So I really appreciate everyone's input. I think it will really help this cute little boy's trip be magical!

She should ask the wish granters if their chapter has any donated tickets. Our chapter supplied my in laws and sister with free tickets to join us on my daughter's trip.

I would definitely tell her to ask the make a wish people. I am no expert but when my cousin went for her wish she brought along her other cousins with her. From what I understood they all got a free trip so she could go with her cousins. And if anything they should at least be able to help find good deals I would think to help them out.

. . . I am wondering if anyone can give me some tips on getting the best deal on tickets for family members who are accompanying a MAW child? . . .

1) I am a volunteer coordinator for Give Kids The World (GKTW).
2) In almost every case of which I know, the traveling group all got tix.
3) The local MAW groups supplied the extended family with no problem.
4) As mentioned above, have the MAW family contact the granting MAW chapter.

I would guess it depends on the chapter. My inlaws came with us. Everything was at their own expense, though they were able to stay with us at GKTW.

I'd also imagine they'd draw a line at some point?

1) The amount of freebies does depend upon the chapter and its budget.
2) Typically major expenses are only covered for immediate family members.
. . . immediate family is usually father/mother/brothers/sisters
. . . immediate family almost always includes caregivers like a nanny/nurse
. . . immediate family frequently includes grandparents
. . . extended family includes aunts/uncles/nieces/nephews
3) From my personal experience volunteering at/for GKTW several times per month,
. . . most chapters cover park tix for extended family members when all stay at GKTW
. . . most chapters do not cover tix for extended family members when not staying with the gifted family
. . . some chapters include extended members travel & tix if they can show a closeness to the gifted child
4) When staying at GKTW, even if extended family
. . . EVERYTHING IS FREE when on-property, except for some souvenirs
. . . villas are grouped by two's
. . . immediate family can be in one, extended family can be in the other.
