Ticket Suggestions?

We are visiting DL either on Friday Nov. 18th or Tuesday Nov. 22nd. Either day I think will be equally as crowded with the holiday coming up. Agree?

Anyway, we haven't bought our tickets yet. I don't know what AAA rates are but I found a credit union website that is $59.50 for a 1 day hopper.

Any other suggestions of places to buy tickets?

TIA,

Susan

Hi Susan!

Actually, I do NOT agree. In my experience, Friday's are great until about 5 pm, when the locals come out for the night. Tuesday is not yet a school closure date, so I believe it would be less crowded.

That said, Friday you will have longer hours and fireworks. That makes up for the crowds, IMO.

As for prices, I can't help you---we have AP's. That sounds good for a one-day hopper, but I'm sure somebody here will know for sure.

I don't know if this is any indication of which day will be busier, this will be our first trip to DL but when I bought my Fantasmic balcony seats for the 18th I had a heck of a time and only just managed to get the last 3 seats in the second show and atakaratemom who posted on page 2 of the archives and used the exact same strategy with regards to phoning right at 8:00 etc said that when she called there were still 11 seats still left for the first show which makes me think that the Friday might be a lot busier, at least as far as the Fantasmic show.

We will probably be going Wed Nov 23 for a day trip, but it might be on Tue 22. If you are planning to get to the park early, another advantage for Friday is that it is not an EE day while Tue is EE. That means the park will not be as crowded in the morning on Fri, especially FantasyLand and TomorrowLand.

Last I checked the park hours for Tue Nov 22 are 8AM-11PM, so they are comparable to Fri the 18th. I would not let that sway you. If it were me, I would go on Fri because I would be at the gate early and one of the first into the park. But, if you plan to arrive later than park opening, I would recommend Tue.

I think many Southern California schools now have the entire week of Thanksgiving off. Tuesday crowds may be about the same as Friday crowds.

Yes, most or all SoCal schools will be out the whole week of TG, unlike previous years where it was only Thurs/Fri. That will make Mon-Wed of TG week busier than in previous years.

Another factor that will make it busier is that the 50th celebration has been drawing larger attendance than in previous years.

Finally, DL is expecting it to be crowded that week because their park hours will be like those during mid-summer high season.
