If you plan to park hop for only one day of, let's say an 8 day stay, then it is much less expensive to buy a 9 day base ticket than an 8 day park hopper ticket.

Is it permitted to use two "days" of a base ticket on the same day, one at one park and one at a second park, in lieu of buying a park hopper ticket, when the park-hopping feature would not be used most days? Has anyone done this?

Thanks.

No, it's not. Once you have used a day off a non-park hopping ticket, you cannot use another day off that ticket on the same day. The computer system is set up to reject the ticket if you try to go to another park. :)

If they were real paper tickets instead of an electronic card, you could do that!

i still think i am going to buy a ticket for our arrival and maybeeven departure days...at $3 per even if we only use them to go to mgm and rnr and tot( the only thinkgs we go to a second day at mgm for, the only park we would really "hop" to or from) it would be worth it imo

IOW, but the tickets AREN'T paper, they're encoded to be rejected in the scenario presented by the original poster.
