Ticket refunds for closing?

Ugh! We bought date specific tickets through Expedia for March 27-30. Whelp, that's not going to work... I have emailed Disney and Expedia, but I was hoping someone on here would be an expert. What are our options? We will be there until April 3. Will Expedia move our ticket date? We are five Disney adults, so I will be heartbroken if we have to eat the ticket cost!

You can change it yourself online on the Disney website if you’ve linked them to your account (usually). Just be clear that any changes *could* make it less likely you can get an actual refund later if you’d prefer that.

We don't know anything yet.
Disney announced that they are currently working on how they will handle guests with existing reservations.
Give it some time, and we will all learn what Disney intends to do about current tickets.

I had bought the 4 day ticket deal (that ends in Sept). I realize that it says tickets will be usable until Dec 15, but mine are still showing my dates and not giving me an option of moving the dates. I want to reschedule our trip, but how do I move the dates so I can make fast passes? I am looking to book room only and use the tickets I already have. Hope this makes sense. Running on no sleep here.

Try again to move the dates.
(Try on the App and on the website.)
If no good, you'll need to call Disney for help.
However, unless you are in a time crunch, I'd not want to try to call Disney very soon about anything.

I have two Florida resident tickets on my account for my grandkids- and they extended those to July 31, 2020. The thing is, I have a Silver AP and I”m blocked out June 1- August 6. So that’s a bummer for sure. Maybe they can apply my payment towards new tickets for them (I hope).

Im not seeing a way to move dates. Only an option to reassign tickets. Am I missing something? Thank you so much for your help.

It’s possible that your tickets are not eligible to move online. Some aren’t, but most of those that aren't can be moved by phone (and based on the coronavirus policy, it sounds like all tickets will be eligible to be moved by phone). How did you buy them?

Click on the person the ticket is assigned to and it *should* say modify. If you can’t do it there, call.

I bought them through Disney. If I click on someone it just gives me the reassign option. No option to change dates. So weird. Do I need to call before my start date (March 19)? Trying to avoid an hours long call. Thank you so much for your help.

Your ticket will retain it's value even after the expiration date. Unless you need to call to cancel a resort reservation anyway, I would wait a bit for the commotion to subside. I suspect WDW phones are getting slammed today and for the next several days.

Sorry your plans are changing but enjoy your future trip!

Thanks all! I looked last night and could move my tickets, but decided to wait until the official word from WDW. Now the system is down for moving them. I'm assuming it will stay down until they can extend the dates for existing tickets. Fingers crossed they are able to open April 1, and we can still get a day or two in while we are down there. Although, I'm willing to do my part to keep everyone safe and healthy!

I am in the exact same situation with the 4-park ticket purchased through Disney, but my new FP day isn't until April 7. Hopefully things will all become clearer (and more automated) in the next few days!

I keep trying thinking I must be missing something! But, nope. No way for me to switch dates. Hope we both get our new tickets soon so we can make FP!

just talked to member services via online chat. he said that i don't need to do anything with the 4 park magic we have for 03/29-04/01 until we are ready to re-book and get fastpasses. he said it will automatically be valid till december and will just stay in MDE till I rebook. once i rebook, he suggested i call back to have new dates added at that time so i am ready when the fastpass window opens. i'm not planning to rebook for about a month or so so this was a relief.

I have been on the phone all night, passed around to different people and no one can help or has a clue. I made a new resort reservation for June and my tickets still show March dates. I cannot modify the dates online. No one seems to know how to change the dates of my tickets. They just keep saying my tickets are good until December. I understand this. But I need to have valid dated tickets to make my FP next month. What a mess.
