Wondering if anyone has helpful links to cheaper ticket prices than purchasing directly through disney. I've combed through this forum and havent really found anything like this posted.
There really aren't many options for cheaper tickets-- Disney keeps tight control on them. The best deals may be from Undercover Tourist-- sign up at mousesavers.com for their newsletter and they offer special discounts just for newsletter subscribers. I have used them, as have many others on this board and have been very happy with their customer service.
There is another company called Maple Leaf Tickets that I seen mentioned but I don't know anything about them. Maybe someone else will come along that has used them.
Whatever you do please don't buy tickets off of ebay, craigslist or any other source like that. Disney tickets are non transferable and you can end up wasting a whole lot of money on tickets that are either no good or get confiscated at the parks when you try to use them.
I'll put in another word for Undercover Tourist, especially with the Mousesavers newsletter discount. They often, although not always, have the best deal (if you look at prices, remember that they include taxes and free shipping in their prices - Disney does not list with tax included (add 6.5%), and it's something like $3-4 to get them sent to you (otherwise you can pick them up at the will-call ticket booths).
But note that if you want to get a dining plan (and you're not a DVC member or AP holder), you need to get a ticket with your package anyways, so unless you can save that required ticket for a future trip, you're not really going to save by getting it from somewhere else.
