What would you do?

We are taking two trips:
Two adults and 1 child for a Sept 2005 Trip (7 nights)
Two adults and 2 children for a June 2006 Trip (min 3 park visits plus 2 water park visits)

My options are:

Buy a 10 day premium MYW (Hopper + Plus) non expiring and buy my other child a 5-7 day pass next year.

Buy AP passes, either premium or basic and pay seperately for waterparks.

any other suggestions?

Financially, you'd be better with 10 day MYW non expirations. An adult AP is now $420 and a PAP is $548. You would have to visit the water parks four times each to break even, five to come ouot ahead. So the PAP is out.

The AP for one adult might be economically doable if you can get a room discount or need to purchase the DDE card. But a 10 day MYW Premium non expiration is $401 advance from Disney and as cheap as around $380 from the wholesalers like Maple Leaf or Ticketmania.

For your second child, buy a MYW, no question.

So if I buy one AP for myself (to get the DDE card and possibly a room discount next trip) and I buy 7 day non expiring premium passes this year for my wife and child. If I use all 7 days but have pluses left over, what passes can I upgrade to for the next trip. Or I can also purchase a 10 day premium non expiring this year. But can I add more days to the 10 day if I used 7 of them and I need more than 3 days.

If all you have is plus visits left, you cannot upgrade them. And since they carry no dollar value for applyng towards a new ticket, all you can do is use them up.

You cannot add more days to a 10 day but you can apply the dollar value of the unused theme park admissions towards a new MYW ticket.

There are restrictions though. If you had park hopping on the old one and hopped from one park to another even once, you will have to get park hopping on the new one. If you had plus visits on the old one and used any, you will have to get plus visits on the new one. And you will have to have the non expiration option on it, too.
