Ticket Question

I have decided to go to Tink's Pin Quest in July. As my DH has no desire to go I asked my niece who just graduated high school if she would like to go with me. I told her she could bring a friend. We are arriving late Thursday night and leaving early Sunday so the girls will have 2 full days in the park and I will be pin trading my little heart out.

The question I have has to do with park tickets. The family, including my DN Megen, is going to WDW in November. I have already purchased her a 7-day pass for that trip. However, she starts college in September and will probably not be able to join us for all 7 days. So she is going to use 2 days of her park hopper when we go down in July. The problem is her girlfriend. They do not sell 2-day hopper passes. The girl friend will probably not have another opportunity to go back to WDW, so buying a 4-day hopper is not good for her. However, my DH has a 5-day hopper for November, which we purchased from Paramount.

Question – can the girlfriend upgrade my husband’s 5-day PH to a 7-day PH and if so, what is the cost? As we purchased the ticket from Paramount before the prices went up I have no idea how to figure out how much a two-day upgrade would cost. Also, is it legal?

Thanks in advance, Penny

It is totally legal since the park hopper has not been used before.
As to what you will be credited, it depends on what it scans and it may not be what you paid for it. There is no way to tell until you get there.
Basically, you will get credit for the full amount of the hopper (remember, not necessarily what you paid for it, but, what it scans) and you will pay the difference in price.
WWW.allearsnet.com has a list of current prices and a really good explaination on the trade in of tickets.

Now, in theory, after a hopper is used it is not to be transferred.
In reality, since there is no name attached to it, no one blinks an eye at the transfer, except some "pass police" here on the DIS.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Gail. you are certainly one helpful person. I always see you helping people on the transporation board. :chat:
Thanks for wandering over here also.

Welcome anytime.
BTW, I "haunt" this board as much as the transportation board.
I just don't know too much about EBAY and I don't do other people's budgets. People pay me to do that, lol. :)
