So, Stupid question I'm sure, but can you get discounts anywhere on tickets into Disney? Or is it pretty much the same price whereever you get them?

You can get discounts if you're a member of AAA or the Disney Club. There are discounts for purchasing them in advance at disney.com and the Disney Store. And you can get some good prices on Park Hopper Plus passes thru any number of online ticket brokers.
