Ticket Question

Friends going over Christmas purchased 2 day tickets online through MDE so they could make Fast Pass reservations now. They are now thinking about adding a third day. Is there any way to add a day to the tickets now so they can make advance fast pass reservations for day 3 or are they stuck waiting until they get to the Parks to add the third day? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Disney ticket sales are one-and-done purchases with no refunds or exchanges. That can create problems for people using FP+ who decide to stay longer and want to pre-book FP+ for more days. Your friends could try to call and explain. Good luck but I have many doubts.

Your friends could buy separate 3-day tickets, and keep the 2-day tickets for another visit. Disney Guest Relations CMs at the parks can put the 2-day tickets on plastic media for them to take home for later. The tickets don't expire and are transferable. if unused.

That's so messed up that you can't add the extra day in advance. You'd think they'd want to take your money and get you locked in as early as possible. If you have to wait til you get to the park, you may decide to not do an extra day at all and instead go somewhere else. Disney is weird about really obvious things sometimes.

I agree completely with previous post. That's why I posted the question. This really was never a problem before Fast Pass + because there was nothing to for rides in advance. I chalk it up to unintended consequence

I agree with what you say. It's a lot to pony up for advance tickets to make FP+ bookings, and then have your hands tied in terms of adding park days. We can hope Disney modifies their ticket sales policies in order to embrace FP+. On the cynical side, Disney's front-loaded ticket pricing makes this a golden opportunity to sell the highest-priced park days TWICE for buyers who later decide to add park days. Another alternative is to book a Disney room with tickets (can be expensive). In this situation, you are allowed to add and subtract from your ticket purchase (to a point).
