Ticket question

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this. If it's not, I'm sorry. Originally we bought 2 day tickets for our trip. Can I upgrade them to add 2 more days before we get to the parks so that I can make fast pass selections? Or will I have to wait until I check in at the resort? Thanks!

Are these tickets part of a Disney resort stay package? Second question, did you purchase these tickets prior to the Feb 23, 2014 ticket price increase?

I would phone Disney Reservations. Sometimes there is a penalty for changes so close to your check-in. But in this case you'd be adding to your package, and I would hope that any change fee would be waived. You'd have to pay immediately. Call and find out, and have your reservation # handy for reference.

If you reserved prior to the Feb 23, 2014 ticket increase, I understand that any change to your tickets would mean your tickets would now be subject to the new ticket prices and you would owe the difference. If they are older priced tickets, a way to save having to pay the price increase is to keep everything as-is. Check-in to your resort and get your original two-day tickets. Use these tickets to enter a theme park first. By doing this, Disney would price-bridge your old tickets to current gate price. Then you would add the extra days at current price, and not pay the price increase difference on your old tickets. However, you wouldn't have the two new days available for booking pre-visit FP+.
