My DIL has 2 one day tickets because she is going in August for 2 days.
But I want to go for the 24 hour event in May.
So she would need a 3 day park ticket for that

My question- can she use those 2 day tickets to upgrade to a 5 day park pass with no expiration-- and how much is that ticket.

It sounds like you're hoping to share a ticket? She uses it for 2 days in August and you use it for one day in May?

Not sure if this is what you're saying but if it is, this is not possible as Disney tickets are non transferrable. After you use the ticket in May it would not allow her to access the parks in August as the fingerprints would not match.

If I've misunderstood, sorry.

No, I have an AP. SHe is going in August for 2 days got 2 one day entrances with those 2 tickets.
She wants to go with me in May and I am going to the parks for 3 days.
so all in total she needs a 5 day pass

I dont know how to figure this out

I'm still not clear on her ticket situation.

Does she have 2 one-day tickets or a 2 day base ticket?

Are you asking if it's less expensive to purchase a 2 day ticket + a 3 day ticket with expiration vs. a 5 day ticket that doesn't expire?

I think they're both pretty close in price. I look at allears.net when looking for prices.

The thing I question is about the 2 day tickets for August. Are they part of a package? Will it void her package if she doesn't purchase them but instead purchases a 5 day, non-expiring ticket in May?

her tickets are not park of a package since she is staying offsite

she got her tickets through Disney.
Does Disney do returns on tickets

OPTION #1: Only one ticket can be used in an upgrade. So a one-day ticket (without tax) costs $95 if for MK, $90 if for EP, HS or AK. A three-day ticket for May costs $255.
$255-$90=$165.
Upgrade other one-day ticket ($90) to two-day ticket ($188) for August:
$188-$90=$98. (OR, THIS IS CHEAPER: Keep one day ticket, buy additional one-day ticket ($90 or $95) + tax)
Total cost for upgrade from 2 one-day tickets to a three-day ticket for May and a two-day ticket for August:
$165+$98=$263 x 1.065 (tax) =$280.10.
The two new tickets would not require the no expire option.

OPTION #2: If you upgraded a one-day ticket ($90) to a four-day no expire ticket ($294+$100 (no expire) = $394)
$394-$90=$304 x 1.054 (tax) = $323.76
You would use the four-day no expire ticket plus the existing one-day ticket for five total park days.

CHEAPEST OPTION #3: Buy a 3-day ticket for May $255 x1.065 (tax) = $271.58 and keep the 2 one-day tickets for August.
