Have read some good things about Undercover Tourist, but just compared their prices to buying direct and they are a bit more. Anybody use them? Do their deals change?
Anybody buy tickets any other way they'd recommend? I was going to buy a 10 day hopper, non expiring. BUT, we will probably use up 6-7 days of it on this trip, so there is no reason to pay for the no expiration.

Did you go directly to their site, or did you use the link in the MouseSavers.com newletter? If you use the mousesavers link, there's an extra discount.

Also, are you sure you're comparing the same thing? If I remember correctly, Disney's web site shows the pre-tax price, and Undercover Tourist's is the total price.

I am assuming by direct you meant through Disney site. The price of 10 Day Park Hopper with No Expiration is $529 + $34.39 tax which you only see at checkout. So total $563.39 direct

Undercover Tourist price is $531 for same ticket. There are no additional charges on top of this price.

If you sign-up at Mousesavers.com for their monthly newsletter then there is additional discount at UT. Newsletter comes out every 15th of the month and will have a link for the discount.

I have yet to buy from undercover tourist but there are a lot of recommendations to use them.

Yes, UT has the tax included and the Disney website does not. Add the tix to the cart on the WDW website to get an accurate comparison.

I have only purchased my tickets from UT and LOVE them. They are amazing. The tickets cost less, and taxes/delivery is included in the price. If you order from Disney, you'll pay taxes & delivery on top of the online price.

Talk about going above and beyond. We took a friend of DSs with us last year. We were at MK, and one of the fast pass machines ate David's ticket. We walked to customer service at the front of the park, and there was NOTHING they could do since we didn't purchase the ticket from Disney. They saw that he had used the ticket that morning, but there was nothing they could do without the number on the back. Fortunately, I had my Blackberry and could access the internet. I called UT, and not only were they able to look it up, but they faxed the numbers Disney needed right on the spot! I was amazed at their service, and it really saved us, as this was the first day on a 7 day + fun days ticket!

With that said, I'll definitely continue to order from them. I will also always make copies of the backs of all tickets and keep them in a safe place when I travel! :rolleyes1

We used UT on our last trip. We bought 2 adult and 1 child 6 day PH, and saved about $100.00 vs direct price. Shipping was included, and we went through Mousesavers. I believe they run specials each month for certain tickets. I would definitely recommend them. Also, you can have the resort put the tickets on your KTTW card, but it helps to make copies, or take cell phone pics just in case.

Agreeing with the others...you're not comparing the full Disney price to the UCT price.

I was going to buy a 10 day hopper, non expiring. BUT, we will probably use up 6-7 days of it on this trip, so there is no reason to pay for the no expiration.

If on your next trip will use the exact rest of the 10 day left from this trip, it could be worth it. But if you have to buy even one more day for your next vacation, any possible savings of the no-exp (vs getting a 6 or 7 day ticket now and a whatever-day ticket next trip) will be lost.

Thank you all for the clarification, I didn't consider the tax!

Sounds like a great way to save money, and we will definitely use them for our trip in November.

If I remember correctly Disney charges you a mailing fee also which UT does not.
