I don't know if anyone can help me out, my wife and I are taking our son to the world in January for his first trip. We went last Sept/Oct during free dining and stayed at two hotels, and between the two of us ended up with 4 unused 1 day passes since we had annual passes. Does anyone know how we can use these to go towards 7 day passes for our next trip? Can we do it over the phone or do we need to wait till we get down there?

Thanks

Just to summarize, because CF's thread can be daunting to some...

Yes, you can upgrade those unused tickets on a one-for-one basis to whatever tickets you may need. You can only do it at WDW, however, at any of the ticket booths or Guest Relations locations.

Note that if the original ticket was obtained before any price increase (or otherwise was obtained at a discount), USE the ticket once before doing the upgrade. This locks in the "cost" of the original ticket to be that of the current gate price, not the purchase price.

The trap of being required to buy 1-day or 2-day tickets for Free Dining when you already have tickets is that you can accumulate a lot of these if you only go during Free Dining, and you cannot combine them towards a single ticket. You can use them individually, but doing that for more than two days isn't cost effective either - you're "spending" $79+ per day of admission, when a multi-day ticket gets cheaper the longer it is...
