Ticket question

I recently recieved 4 complementary 1 day park hopper tickets due to a mix up in our reservation last year. Does anyone have any ideas on how to maximize their use. Using them to add a day to our current trip seems pretty wasteful as it is only $1-2 to add a day. Seems like a nice jesture but I can't seem to see any value in them. Suggestions????

Best use is during some future vacation of 1 to 3 days, or during a vacation when you were going to use only leftover tickets and they don't quite cover.

Another good use is during a vacation when you only need to park hop on exactly one day, and have bought non-hopping tickets.

One person could use all four tickets during a future visit if you are visiting the parks for only a few days; this would end up saving you some money even if you have to purchase a one or two day ticket to supplement.

Maybe you can upgrade the tickets to multi-day tickets on a future visit. This could reduce the price of a future multi-day ticket by a big chunk since the "1st day" on the multi-day ticket is the most expensive. (I don't know if this is even an option with WDW.)

I see your point, the tickets aren't worth much except under very specific circumstances..

We had the same issue last year! The tickets were not of great value to us, since you're not allowed to upgrade them or add days to them at all. They have "no cash value." We spent lots of time on the phone, and even more time at MK's guest services. Basically, they were, for us (who live 18 hours away) a nice gesture but of little practical value. I, too, agree that they get decent value to get into a second park in one day, if you didn't spring for parkhopping. Wish I'd saved mine for that!

Sell them on ebay. They usualy go close to face value and then just buy your tickets as normal.
