Does the Base Ticket plus the Water Park and More Option include the ability to visit the water parks plus the option to go to more than one park a day? The description of this option does not mention that it includes the multiple parks in a day capability.

You can't go to more than one THEME PARK per day on a base ticket. In other words, if you buy a 2-day base ticket, you can't go to MK in the morning and Epcot that same night. The computer system will not allow you through the turnstile at the second park.

You need to add the hopper option to enter more than one theme park in a single day. Short of having an AP, that's the only way to do it.

That is correct - you do need to get a "hopper" option to go to more than one park in a given day.

I priced it out and figured out that if you are only planning to go to a water park once during your stay (and don't plan to go to Pleasure Island or Disneyquest or one of the "and more" options), it doesn't pay to add the "water parks and more" option. It costs more to upgrade your ticket to include this option than it does to pay for a single day pass to a water park. (That was in October - but I heard that they were raising the prices on water park admission, so this may no longer apply.)

We have an unused day on our theme park passes from 2004 and I have been told we can use them, as is, for one day of our trip in May, 2006. Just want to confirm if this is correct? These were park hopper tickets with no add-ons to other sites, but supposedly good forever.

Our plans in May, 2006 allow for 6 days at Disney. We plan to visit only 1 water park and stay there for one full day. The other 5 days will be spent at the 4 major parks, with no park hopping desired. Since we already have 1 of the 5 theme park days accounted for (using our remaining day from the 2004 passes), I'm thinking we should purchase 4-day base tickets and pay for a
1-day pass to the water park.

Does this sound like our best option (price-wise)?

I guess the question is: what is the price is for a 1-day ticket to a water park versus the cost for adding the water park option to our 4-day base tickets?

It is cheaper to buy all the theme park days you need on your new ticket instead of using the leftovers as your fourth, fifth, etc. day.

Then save the leftover theme park days for further off in the future when just leftovers will do an entire vacation.

With just one visit to one water park, a separate admission (about $37.) is better than the Water Park Fun feature (about $53.). Unless you want to generate more leftovers -- theme park days and water park fun and non-expiration -- for a future trip.
