HI All:
My wedding gift to my nephew is a 8-day stay in a studio using my DVC points. He asked a question regarding tickets that I am not 100% positive of the answer. I did read the ticket sticky, but am still not sure.

He plans to buy 7-day park tickets now (from the WDW website) so that he can connect them to MDE and arrange for FP+ at the 60 day mark. Can he add both the park hopper and the water park feature to each ticket during the course of his stay (before all the days are used) ? Is there any advantage to adding it prior to arriving at WDW? Any reason he shouldn't wait until he gets to WDW?

I am suggesting he wait to add park hopping/water parks since I am not at all sure they will even want to hop and/or go to a water park once they are at WDW and hate to see him spend money he doesn't need to spend. But, I don't want to give him bad advice.

THANKS

Yes, absolutely. There is no advantage that I know of doing it before arrival.

I just booked our package and yes, they can add the option while they are there. As far as I remember, you can modify tickets up to three days prior to arrival and once you arrive before/on your last day of tickets, including adding days as well as the park hopper/water park options!

Only advantage I know of is that you get the benefits from day 1. ,. . If he waits until day 2-3 or more trying to resist the extra cost, THEN decides to add it (which he can still do at that point) he's missed out on the first couple days of using the hopper. The cost does not go down after some days are used up.

What a kind abc generous gift! I hope h has a great vacation!:thumbsup2

I would say that it would be better to wait until you actually try to use it, for example add the hopping when you arrive at the second theme park on a given day.
