Ticket Question - Adding Days?

We are headed back to Universal for the first time in several years this October. On our arrival night, we are checking in to RPH and only staying for one night so that we can use the unlimited EP and early entry for IoA the following day. We only bought 1-day park-to-park tickets. My question is this...if we decide on our arrival day that we'd like to go to the parks for a few hours in the afternoon, can we simply upgrade to a 2 day ticket the same as we would at WDW? Do they do any form of price bridging that WDW does with tickets bought at a discount? We got ours through Undercover Tourist just before the most recent price increase, so it may not be worth upgrading if we are going to lose our discount. Thanks in advance.

Universal doesn't price bridge but yes...you can add days at Guest Services. You would pay the difference between what you paid and the gate price.

But how would they know what you paid? Or is it based on the value of the tickets you have?

I'm trying to decide what to do, we can use points to get 2-day tickets for free but need 3 days, so if I can use the value of the 2-day and just pay the difference it would be awesome!

Upgrade if you want more days; don't let that money keep you from having more fun. Your trip is in October, so just keep that difference in mind and in the checking account. If you want to upgrade, do it. :)

That stinks that they don't price bridge! Our flight is a little later than usual, so we would only have a few hours of park time. Thanks for all of the info, everyone! :goodvibes

with ticket sales and more revenue in the parks, look at all of the additions the parks are gaining.

the darkside keeps putting more into the parks.

we all gain when tickets aren't bridged.

every little bit earned means more for the darkside guests all around.

I can understand that. Just disappointed that it will end up costing us too much to upgrade to justify only a few hours in the parks.

you could spend time at city walk if you aren't going to do the parks on your check in day.

that would give you an opportunity to check that part of the darkside out.

So if we got our tickets through a points program, we would have to buy a 1-day ticket, rather than adding a day onto our 2-day pass?
