Ticket purchases on E-Bay?

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with purchasing tickets on E-Bay? I am interested in purchasing just one day one park tickets, and really don't want to wait in lines at the park to buy them.

I wouldn't do it. I've head more bad stories about buying WDW tickets on Ebay than good stories. I remember one poster a few months ago mentioning they got their tickets and all that were left on them were two plus features, no days in the parks. I think you would be better off waiting in line or going to your local Disney Store.

I wouldnt do it either. There is just no way to verify whats on the ticket til you get to Disney. I personally would buy a 5,6 or 7 php
use whatever days you need this time and kep you ticket til next time. They never expire and then for your next trip it will be one less expense. If you subscribe to mousesavers newletter they often have a link to get 3 day tickets.

I had also considered buying off Ebay but frequently the tickets go for more then what you can buy them for. It is just such a gamble and I finally decided I did not want to get to DW only to find out that the ticket was no good and I had to go buy another one. If you do decide to try Ebay I would just make sure that the person has great feedback and a lot of it. From what I have read on these boards there is absolutely no way to see if the ticket has any days on it until you get to the gates so you would be taking a chance.

You don't have to wait until you get to the park to buy them. You can buy 1 day/1 park tickets at either of the two Guest Relations offices at DTD or if you are staying at a Disney resort, you can also get them there. They can be purchased ahead of time. You do not have to use them the day you buy them.

I saw were someone mentioned purchasing tickets at the Disney store. I know you can not buy 1 park 1 day tickets online but can you buy them at the Disney store?

I had just bought a 5 day hopper with the 4 plusses from Mapleleaf tickets.... I thought that would be enough, but we extended our trip by 3 days (we were going 2 weeks) and I added on some days on site. So I wanted the 7 day hopper I put my hopper up on ebay for just the cost I paid and enough to cover the ebay fees. And thats it... it was a legit ticket and yes, people had to trust me but with almost 600 for a rating and almost all positive I think it spoke for itself. I dont know if I would buy them from ebay though... so I am in a sense being a hypocrite... I guess mostly because I can find the same or cheaper prices elsewhere... Steph

no sorries, one day tickets must be bought at the parks, TDS only sells hopper, hopper pluses, and APs

For those who are timid about buying tickets on eBay, may I suggest another course of action? Sell on eBay! Especially if you have a good feedback rating.

There are plenty of people willing to buy partially used tickets, especially if you price them cheap and use Buy It Now. If you get multi-day tickets and use just one day, you're effectively using the cheapest day on the ticket and you can sell the rest.

I suggest looking at eBay and seeing what partially used tickets sell for compared to your needs. I've done this before, and ended up paying less than $20 per person per day.

Another point: if you are only going for one day, you can't hop unless you buy a multi-day pass.
