This is kind of a long story but I'll try to keep it as short as possible. Went to WDW in November 2016 and bought 4 AP certificates with the 13 month promotion. A few weeks before our next trip March 2017 I tried to link two of them for my DH and myself. They came up as expired. Called and found out the cm who sold them to us typed in the wrong date. Got it straightened out and the CM linked all of them to my MDE even though I only wanted to link two at the time incase my kids didn't go. Turns out I was right and they didn't go with us , so DH and I went and activated two of them. My question is when I go on my next trip this November I want to upgrade my current gold APs to the premium APs, But I also want to know if I can upgrade the ones linked to my kids accounts even though they haven't been activated and won't be with us on the trip? I could move them to mine and my husbands MDE but I didn't want us to have them there incase it messed something up by having two APs on our account. The reason I want to do this is that I would like to use the UN activated APs the next year during December 2018 ( which I would take advantage of being able to go then with the premium AP vs Gold ) and I know the promotion will be over by then to do it.
