Hi- I am going to the world in less than two weeks. Currently have 10 day pass w/hopper and water parks. I plan to upgrade to AP for a Oct. Visit. I also purchased MNSSHP tickets. If I link the tickets- is there any possibility it could be pulled at a turnstile during my Aug. Trip? If I upgrade to AP now, "could" I lose my FP's? I'm nervous due to their glitches :(

There's no way that a party ticket could be used if there was not a party happening.

How would you upgrade to AP "now?"

I was figuring I could call to upgrade to an annual pass or do it when I arrive on 23rd- just nervous about losing FP's

You can't call to upgrade, as you have to use your ticket to enter the park at least once before you upgrade. You won't lose FP+ if you do upgrade when you arrive.

Well, not necessarily.
We don't know when or from where the OP bought the original ticket.

How about it, palmtreelover08...

When and from where did you purchase the original 10-day ticket?

I purchased the ticket at part of my bounce back package. Originally I only booked the two day ticket- then when I was firming up the dates- I added the additional 8 days and hopper and water park. I didn't realize I had to use the ticket once before upgrading. That seems strange as I know I had purchased an AP years ago- but maybe since it was not part of a package, and there was only legacy FP at the time- there were probably different "rules".

When upgrading a ticket that was purchased at a discount, you need to use it before upgrading.
Since you bought this ticket as part of a WDW Resort Package (those tickets ARE considered to be "discount tickets,")
you want to actually USE the ticket at least one time to go into a theme park BEFORE you upgrade it.

(I know it sounds "strange," but it's a Disney "internal bookkeeping thing.")

Ok- thx for the tip. I will wait until after first use of ticket. I appreciate the info. I didn't realize that my ticket thru a package was considered "discounted". Sure doesn't feel like a discount when I paid for it :)

I hear THAT! ;)
