I was comparing prices for US/IOA and seaworld. The 4 park flex for 179.95 is a very good deal but so is the 2park annual pass for 109.95 and the 2004 seaworld fun card for 59.95. For our family of 3 it would be 499.70 vs 505.85 for the flex pass. If one of us gets a preferred pass to US/IOA we would get free parking and 15% off at resturants.

Is there any disadvantages to getting the annual passes over the flex pass besides not being able to go to WetnWild?

Has anyone here tried this?

What is the cost of parking at US/IOA and Seaworld?

Thanks

the only downside to the IOA/US AP is that citywalk isnt included. you can still walk around, but you cant bar hop unless you pay the cover.

you forgot to mention that you get 30% off your room at universal.

parking w/o pass is $6 @ universal. not sure about sea world

thanks

I should have mentioned we wont be using citywalk with our 5 yr old and we will be staying at a timeshare.

Any other thoughts?

Wow, I hadn't thought of doing this. We had planned to get the flex tickets because our kids are water park crazy, and because we're traveling with kids we won't be doing City Walk anyway. I had give some minor thought to getting one AP just for the room discount, but now I realize the cost of getting one set of tickets this way would only be the cost of admission to Wet 'n Wild (probably for 2 days @ $33 each) which would probably be more than made up with the room discount!!!! Thanks for the idea!!!

BTW - just checked Wet n Wild's site, and they are offering a week-day annual pass for only $43 if you buy before 12/31/04 (it's still good for 1 year after you first use it).

OOps, I got overly excited by this prospect without checking the details. We're going in the summer, and the 2 park annual pass is blacked out every week-end for the whole summer, plus you need the regular annual pass for a room discount. We are planning on being at Universal over a week-end, but the week-day pass at Wet n' Wild would work.

So, my cost would be $43 for Wet n' Wild week-day pass if I buy it before 12/31, $60 for Sea World fun Card, plus $170 for the preferred annual pass at Universal. So the additional cost over the flex is $93 ($273-$180). I'll have to see if the annual pass rates come out before December and then try to buy the Wet n' Wild pass then. :scratchin
