Any more news on the ticket price hike? I read something a week ago and haven't heard anything since.
I am planning on buying my tickets today just in case they do raise them 1/1/07.

Haven't heard anything yet.

For quite a few years, they raised prices in the spring, instead of January, and we always thought it was odd to raise prices at one of the busiest times. Since it hasn't been six months since the last increase, maybe they are going to start doing that again. Just a guess on my part though - nothing to back it up. I'm hoping that since Universal and Sea World have also recently changed prices, that they'll all hold off a little while.

However, if you know you are going and can afford to buy tickets now, I would. I doubt very much that they would go DOWN in price between now and your trip!

We purchased 19 ,5 day ph no exp today for a multi- family trip in Feb. Just incase of a ticket increase Jan 1, we got burned before, and should have bought these tickets when we decided to take this trip. I think alot of people decided to do this because my local AAA office didn't have enough tickets and had to get some from another AAA office.

When I went to the Disney Store, I too was told that I should buy my tickets now because they were going up before the end of January.

I told the CM that I already bought mine through Disney with my reservation and she tried real hard to convince me that if I am not going before the increase, Disney will tack that price on to the cost of my package. :rotfl:
I tried real hard to convince her that she was wrong...neither of us got through to the other one. :lmao:

Considering that they are no longer owned by Disney, I am not sure that they would have that kind of information that far in advance.

Do regular ticket prices NOT go up at the same time as say, annual passes? We bought our APs the DAY before they went up in August (how lucky was that?!?!) and I wouldn't think they'd raise the prices just 4-5 months later...but if they're on different schedules then it would make more sense...

Disney has done it both ways in the past. There have been times when only certain ticket prices increased and others followed at a later time. There have also been many instances especially in the 2000's where the price increase was across the board. No sure way of knowing what will go up until prices are released by Disney.
