I have purchased tickets in the past from both Undercover and Maple Leaf as the prices have been basically the same. THey both include taxes but you pay $7 for shipping at MLT while UT is free.

But with the recent price increase I went to purchase tics and MLT is nearly 8% cheaper than UT in just about every category and they both advertise these passes as pre- price increase prices.

Am I missing something here or are my eyes deceiving me ??

I saw that too.

Never bought anywhere but directly from Disney, though we'd researched options, until we heard about this price increase. So with a 4 year old 10 day NE PH about to finish up within the next 2 vacations, we quickly ran and bought the maximum 10 PH + 10 Fun Visits with No Expiration from UT (deep breath, spend the money, it'll be worth it in the long run). Totally spaced on the Mousesavers link until afterwards - but that turned out to be only $1 less per ticket than I paid, no big deal. Then this morning I saw the MLT price which was $7 less - mildly bummed, since it would have saved over $20 for the 3 of us.

For the OP, though (OK, and me for next time), what's the difference between the two brokers. UT makes a big deal out of "actual tickets." Do you have to redeem a voucher through MLT? I saw that MLT had a shipping charge of $6.95, so that's a difference. Anything else?

from a quick look UT thru the link is cheaper by a bit... 5 day hopper is 350.00 thru MLT 341 thru UT...and free shipping....
the 10 NE ticket is about the same, right?

I'm seeing $736.95 for 10 PH NE with fun visits on UT through Mousesavers link, $730.62 for the same through the Allears link to MLT ("ole" prices they are temporarily holding). It's just $6, slightly offset by UT's free shipping. But a slight difference. The same ticket costs $30+ more now, depending on where you buy it.

I have not found there to be any real difference between either UT or MLT as far as service, etc. They both send you the actual tickets so no voucher involved in either case, so other than the $7 shipping charge, I have found both companies to be very reputable.

So, from the posters, it sounds like the mousesavers newsletter link has the reduced UT prices that are similar to the MLT prices.

Yes, correct. Edited my post to reflect that these prices are through the "private" links. For now...

As of yesterday (don't know about today) UT, if linked through Mousesavers newsletter, was selling at pre-increased prices, with UT discounts. Not linked was at the new pricing, with the UT discounts.

I made a spreadsheet on Saturday comparing everything (AAA, UT, WDW with 5% off Target gift cards, etc)- go figure that all my research became obsolete on Sunday! :sad2:

The ticket I decided on was very close in price at AAA as UT and ML's old price. My local AAA office said their prices may not go up for another week so if you have AAA check them out.

I did speak with Maple Leaf and discussed getting a 5-day and maybe upgrading it to a 7 at the park; they told me that WDW was also ending the 'bridging' a ticket trick when upgrading. So- in the past if a five day is much cheaper you could buy that, after you used it once you could upgrade and it was only the difference as if you paid full price for the original ticket. Maple Leaf told me they are getting rid of that loophole and now it is the full difference to upgrade.

not surprised if this is true.....

ebates.com --> orbitz Disney tickets --> 20% ebate rebate and a discount on the tickets themselves. Best deal going right now.

On Saturday night I purchased a 5 day base ticket from UT for $291.95, now their website is showing a 5 day base ticket for $310.46, they def increased their prices...

This deal is over now, it's a 10% rebate. May still be the best deal but I didn't do the math yet.

Darn - was just looking at it last night. Trying to figure if it was good to renew our AP's. wanted to talk to hubby about it - guess I should have just done it! ;)

Ditto here. I was a click away from purchasing last night and then decided to think about it. :crazy2: Oh well.

I know I have read a lot on this board about some CMs not knowing about bridging, but has anyone else heard/know that Disney is changing their policy? And if they are, how would they know what I spent?

with the mosuesavers link it's still 290.xx.....

That doesn't make sense because Disney sells their tickets to places like UT and MLT for them to resell at lower prices, and by not doing price bridging, they would then be penalizing people for buying them from resellers.
