Ticket Prices to Increase on Monday

Am I correct in thinking that it's okay to purchase the tickets using "will call" and not picking them up until early next year? I much prefer having vouchers in hand, but the cost to have vouchers shipped to Canada is $25.

Triple play...

I just reclicked through Mary's notice she sent yesterday and it's the $318.95 price and has the Mousesavers logo on the UCT page.

Thanks. At least I know I am not going crazy.Maybe they upped their price in anticipation of Sunday's increase. I tried to call UCT but found out they are closed on weekends.

I must be doing something wrong. When i check for a 10 day park hopper throught the Mousesavers UCT link I get a price of $318.95. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I made a price mistake on mousesavers.

I just ordered 2 10 day magic hopper tickets and that came to $635.01
including the $1.99 extra savings.

I changed the price on my original post.

Sorry for any problems.

Does anyone know if you can purchase DLR annual passes with the DVC membership discount online or at a Disney Store? :confused3

I am wondering the same thing. Called DVC and they told me to call Disneyland Ticketing...on hold now listening to music and trying to read the boards for a faster answer. Very sad about this...was going to just buy one on Friday when we are there, but don't really want to pay $50 more....:sad1:

Does anyone know if the increase will affect military tickets also? I checked with our MWR office and they hadn't heard about an increase.

After 2 hours on the phone with various CMs in various departments, I am told that there is NO way to buy DVC discounted DLR APs online or on the phone. We have to buy them in person. And, given that the prices for these are going up $40-$50, our measly $20 discount is not worth waiting if we want to save the money, because we will save more to buy online today at the regular site.

I was also told that if I bought a DAP today and upgraded to a PAP on Friday, that they would not apply my DVC discount there at Disneyland the the upgrade. She said that the discount only applies to new passes, even though mine would not be activated. That is ridiculous, IMO :headache:.

Went down to Guest Relations at DLR today. We have existing DLR APs which dont' expire until Sept.

They would not allow us to buy "new" DVC DLR APs, since we have active APs. They would not allow us to buy vouchers for DVC DLR APs, because they don't sell them at the park.

Although the Disney Store sells AP vouchers, the DVC account doesn't apply there.

:rotfl2: I'm rolling on the floor laughing, because it is not cute to cry. :rotfl2:

Just bought UT tickets: 4A & 2C 8 day hoppers for $1821.71. Figure gate prices will be about $2068 with increase, so saved about $246 - almost like a buy 5.25 tickets get 1 free deal!

But, I know there is the time factor of $ since I've paid out 5 months in advance of my budget schedule... and DH is not convinced even with the savings we should have spent ahead of the scheduled budget.

SOn the plus side, now with DVC accomodations are paid, flights are booked (AmEx points on JetBlue), and tickets are paid. Outstanding: the DP v OOP decision...

Thanks to everyone on the boards for the advance info.

Thank you for letting us know about the price increase, I would have found out after the fact. Will be buying our 10 day hopper tickets today at
undercovertourist.com. Just checked 10 day hopper pass is 294.95 adult price including tax.

I am a little disappointed in Disney for increasig the prices after 10 months.
I am sure it will catch alot of people off guard.

I am with you, I guess somebody has to pay for the expansion of Fantasyland.

I just checked the UT site, and it appears they are still showing the same prices as yesterday (if anybody wants to save some money by ordering at the "old" prices). The WDW site is reflecting the new prices.

I bought 2 adult and 2 children 8 day hoppers yesterday via UT for $1187. If I made that same purchase direct today (or at the gate when we travel in Nov) the cost would be $1365. So we saved $178 bucks.

Many of the authorized WDW ticket brokers will continue to sell at their old prices until they run out of stock. Once they have to reorder, they, too will have to raise prices.

Best to order soon if you want the old prices.

You can buy them from the DVC website (assuming you're a member). It's under the perks for WDW. Here is where you can find the wdw ticket store to buy your dvc ap. (not easy to find on the dvc website you see.)

I believe these steps have been changed as of this AM. Now you have WDW Annual Pass FAQs as step 4 and it does not allow you to purchase any AP.

wow, thanks for the info. I'm officially broke now. This week I had to buy 6 r/t tickets from Dulles to Orlando for August, pay the deposit on a Disney cruise for April 2012 (2 cabins - 6 people), buy my GS a 6 day WDW ticket from UT in case he goes with us in August, and I had to renew my DH's DVC AP yesterday......whew.....$2,500 in one week! Wow, and I still had the nerve to visit the TSS website thinking I was looking for an add-on.

Glad I don't have to buy another AP (renewal) until January 2012. I was not ready for the news of the ticket price increase, but I saved $35 on my GS's 6 day ticket, esp. buying from UT with a special link from mousesavers and I saved $20 renewing my DHs AP yesterday. What we do to save a few dollars!! :confused3

I'll go visit the DVC site to see the changes.

Just saved big money on UT for 4 adult 6 day park hoppers! Saved $160! Yeah! I would not have paid attention to the price increase if it wasn't for the DIS! Thanks all!:cool1:

Thanks for posting that. I did zip over and sure enough, the ticket store is shut down on the DVC website. I guess it won't be available until the new prices are loaded. It just says you have to call MS to get APs or do it at the window, but just yesterday I was in that site and had the ticket store open looking to see if I could renew my AP there (which I couldn't).

It will eventually catch up. It seems usually to be updated as they sell out and need to restock from Disney. I do think sometimes the tickets might be pulled back and updated but in the short term you could still probably get at old (discounted) rates.

I would still get them sooner rather than later though.
