Ticket Prices Increasing June 12th!

I am going to order our AP's butI also have the printer problem. So if I order them tonight, I can print them later?

And the activation date doesnt start until I am at Disney correct? We have our trip planned in July but since the price increase, we are going to get our AP's early. It saves us $200ish :yay:

Correct to both questions.

So glad I saw this. We're planning a trip in Sept, and not knowing exact dates yet it is still worth it to buy tix now!
Plus, now there is no turning back for DH who has never been to a Disney park. :thumbsup2

Aw, nuts! Just my luck. We get there on Sunday, and I bought 5 day parkhoppers last month with plans to upgrade them to an AP. It would have cost me less to just buy the AP's outright, but for some reason I balked at the cost. Now I get to pay that much more for our 3 AP's.

Story of my life!

UGH!!! Now what to do.... We are planning on a trip Aug 5-7; was going to get PH so we can go on Saturday and then Sunday upgrade to DLX APs (mine Premium for discounts and parking). Thinking all along of a price jump same time in August as usual...this has completely thrown me for a loop!!! Now I don't know what to do.... Should we bite the bullet and get the passes now (am I correct that the start date isn't until first day visit when activated??- I don't want it to start now, I want it to start in August....) But then what about our Saturday visit?? HELP!!!

I don't know how it works when activating AP vouchers but I have heard that if you purchase your AP on a blocked out day Disney still lets you use it that first day. Maybe they do the same thing when you activate the vouchers.

We have 2 day hoppers which I was going to upgrade on our next trip. Does anyone know if I upgrade on our second day do the APs start that day or the next time I use them?

If you upgrade a park ticket to an AP, your AP starts the day you first activated the park ticket, so if you use your park hopper on July 1, 2011 for example and upgrade on July 2, your AP will expire on July 1, 2012, one year from when you first used your parkhopper, NOT the day you upgraded.

I hope someone can help. I am a new DVC member and was wondering if I can use my DVC membership discount when I purchase an annual pass this weekend. I do not live near DLR. Is there any options?

Correct to both questions.

So just to be completely clear, if you bought the annual pass online today but weren't going until December 13, the start of the year for the pass would be December 13th, correct, since that's when you would activate it at the park? Sorry to repeat, but I'd hate to screw that up. TIA!

Yes exactly. I guess the key point is when does the voucher expire, and I called to find out. It expires 1 year from the date of purchase.

Oh bother :sad2:! I was going to buy vouchers for mid June 2012, but the voucher will expire before we go that month if I buy them tomorrow. I am bummed our...that's $200 more I have to pay for 4 tickets. Why do WDW vouchers never expire and DLR's do?!

Will the bonus park hopper tickets go up in price as well? I see right now for 6 days it's $216 and on the new price page it's $271.
Will the DVC price change as well for AP's? Right now it's $309

If I buy 4 Premier AP vouchers (ouch :scared1:), do they never expire so I could activate 18 months from tomorrow? We are going to DLR in December 2012...

Question - if I buy my annual passes and put them on my Disney Visa can I get the 0% interest for 6 months?

So glad I saw this! I'm at the parks now ( ) with a PH that I'm upgrading to a Deluxe AP. I'll be sure to upgrade tomorrow, NOT Sunday!

Hmm, the fact that DL vouchers expire 1 year from the date of purchase would make me nervous about trying to activate 18 month old vouchers at DL.

But assuming you buy your Premier vouchers from WDW, so there would be no wording on the vouchers saying they expire, since apparently they dont (this has definitely been verified, yes?) I would think you should be fine.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if you had to go through a supervisor or two or three to get the transaction approved though. ;)

I'm sure all of the prices will adjust proportionally, and possibly the discounts will adjust proportionally too. The hopper and DVC prices are going to sit while the regular tickets fly up in price.

I agree with the PP that will be a tricky situation. Some of the guidelines regarding the Premier is that it has to follow DLR rules and WDW rules. That could complicate the issue. And if you wait too long to activate them, you may be out of luck.

If the terms of your visa is 0% for 6 months, then yes.

Are the costco 4 day SoCal Park Hoppers upgradeable to an AP?

Yes, currently I think they have a value of $151 towards an upgrade.

You can't buy vouchers for Premier Passports, as far as I know. They have to be purchased in person, and that means they will be activated.

Other Disneyland passport vouchers, which you can buy online, expire after a year, as someone else mentioned. From what I've heard, they are honored after a year, but you have to pay the price difference. Essentially what you're buying is a price guarantee for a year.

Thanks for the replies. Yep, I just realized while my brain was spinning that the Premiers have to be bought in person. Darn it! We will be at DLR in 7 days and that will be 6 days too late to buy them.

I think I am totally out of luck, unless I buy WDW APs and upgrade them to Premiers at WDW. Does that sound right? How much are the WDW APs going up on Sunday?

I think if that doesn't work, I may buy WDW 10-day no expiry hoppers and just lock in my WDW trips (that lasts for two trips for us) for the next couple of years. No idea anymore how to lock in DLR trips since vouchers expire after a year. I don't think WDW tickets or AP vouchers ever expire?! True?

If I buy a 4-day hopper today at the online price ($201 ish) and upgrade to an AP while I am at DLR next week, will the price credited toward the AP be the 201ish or what the 4-day hopper costs next week?

Darn all this math. I am just trying to save $50 x 4 = $200, which may be impossible at this point. That's a lot of gas money!
