Ticket Prices Going Up on Sunday!

DH and I were hoping to get annual passes this year but we are not arriving at DW until August 16th. Does anyone know if I can purchase the tickets now at the lower rate and still be able to pick them up in August?

TIA

Yes, you can buy right through the Disney website and they will email you a voucher to take with you to activate. I would not wait as their website will become very busy.

I'm pretty sure that you can redeem your vouchers for APs after the price increase and you don't have to pay the difference.

Thank you so much!!!
I am taking dd's friend in August and need to get her tickets now, we already have ours.

Does anyone know if you have a package booked but not fully paid off, if the price will increase on the ticket portion or are you locked in at the price you booked?

Ok just called, not that I didn't trust you guys, and the CM on the other end did tell me that if I purchase the AP now I will get the exchange certificate either in the mail or online and then all I have to do is activate it in August :):cool1:

Thanks for the heads up on this!

Yes, I always opt for the online voucher that you can print at home to take to the window with you. Keep in mind that their website will get very busy soon!! I'm off to buy some tickets now.

Same question with if you later add free dining. Do the park tickets increase to the current price or are you locked in?

Everything keeps going up except my salary. :headache: :sad2: Our WDW trip this December will probably be our last for a while.

What do you mean by "add free dining"? Do you mean if Disney offers it again for dates later in the fall than the current "free dining offer" and you are already booked with a package? It's my understanding that switching an existing reservation to one that is covered by a PIN code or a discount code changes your reservation to whatever terms exist at the time of the change. So you would have to pay the higher ticket prices as a part of your new package.

I'm a little confused. Do the prices on the links include tax or not? If not that is some increase on annual passes. Might consider buying them for our 2013 trip now. Might buy my little guys now either way, as the discount for kids AP is going away. Would make much more on that investment then any savings account.

The prices in the link DO NOT INCLUDE TAX!

For Annual passes, it may not be worth the hassle. It appears the price difference is about $50 per pass....here are the new prices for all tickets:

I know, I know, $50 is $50, but honestly, compared to the Disneyland price increases these are very tame and not really worth getting worked up (at least for Annual Passes) over in my opinion.

ETA: I could see it being a bigger deal if you have children ages 3-9 though, as they are eliminating the children prices for annual passes.

How much are they increasing....
This link shows all the various tickets at their current prices. And the PRICES SHOWN INCLUDE THE TAX
.

The prices in this link show the future prices. Those numbers DO NOT INCLUDE 6.5% SALES TAX.

Since there are so many different ticket types, I leave it up to you to do the math and figure out just how much of a price increase you'll see for the tickets you need.

For Annual passes, it may not be worth the hassle. It appears the price difference is about $8 per pass....here are the new prices for all tickets:

What numbers are you looking at?

The current price for an adult AP is $552.74 with the tax included.
The new price for an adult AP will be $574 before you add in the tax.

I called and the guy said changing my reservation to add free dining if it became available would not alter the ticket prices. Someone else suggested the people answering the phone don't really know, so now I'm not sure how to find out =\

I misread, it is a $50 increase for the premium pass, which is still nothing by comparison to the massive $160 increase we just had here at Disneyland.
