ticket prices, deals and little kids

A total Universal newbie here. I've noticed some posts about deals on Universal tickets. Where do you get these? We are thinking about spending one day at Universal (doing Disney the other days). Also which park should we go to? We will have four adults and three young kids--4 yr and 18 mo twins. Thanks for your help.

Unlike the mouse house, Universal is more liberal with discounts. In fact, if you pay full price for a ticket, then you've paid too much!
