I know DisneyWorld ticket prices often increase sometime in the first quarter of the year. Is this true with Disneyland? Any guesses when there might be another increase?

I am no expert but it used be a increase at the start of the new year I think I recall February?

The ticket prices went up I think it was October this year? which was a surprise. But some places like getawaytoday allowed you to buy at old prices before they changed the date.

It used to be every February.

Yes, but it is not as set your watch by it predictable as it used to be. Wintertime, January or February, seem likely possibilities though. In addition, AP price increases have sometimes happened more than once per year. August and October were favorite times in the past in addition to a bump up in January or February.

I just received an email from "the frog place" with the headline "Annual Price Rise Coming Soon." Blaaaa, I hate this so much. Maybe they're referring to only WDW tickets? A girl can dream.

P.s., I tried to include a hyperlink as the mods want us to, but it still only got ****. I love you mods, not trying to break rules.

Is there any kind of official warning about a price increase or do you just have to rely on rumors?

In the past, there was no warning. Just “FYI, prices are increased as of today!” (For example)

They increased prices today? Shoot.

I think that post is misunderstood. Ticket prices look the same to me as when I last bought some tickets for family in October. I think perhaps the poster was just trying to say that when the increase comes, most people simply find out because prices have changed overnight. That being said, occasionally there is an inkling/rumor/hint that seems to get out through travel agencies or press that a ticket price is imminent. It has happened before without that unofficial warning though.

Oh, gotcha! I thought they meant literally FYI the prices have increased today. I went to check and couldn't tell a difference in price and thought I must have missed something lol

Glad, because we still need to buy tickets for March and were holding off until later. We'll probably get them tomorrow to be safe anyway.

Sorry for the confusion! That’s exactly what I meant! I guess I should have used quotes (“ “)

Yeah, I've been delaying buying tickets for March, but with the added pressure of reservations and price increases looming, I feel like I need to get on it! Lol

I wouldn’t delay if you know you’re going. I think they will raise them before March.

Hoping for the best on this as our dates aren't ready to book a reservation for yet on the DL site (June). I messaged a CM and she said to wait to buy my tix till my reservation dates populate. So I guess I have no choice?

You can buy now and book any available date, then cancel the reservations and book the dates you need when they come available. You don’t HAVE to do it this way, but if you’re concerned about a potential price increase, this is what may choose to do.
