What if you book a vacation now and then free dining comes out and you apply a new discount code to your reservation? Do the ticket prices go up or are they still locked in? I would assume they would go up.

We had this happen a couple of years ago when the FD discount came out and we didn't pay the higher ticket prices. I think they just applied the new discount to our existing reservation. I'm almost positive of this.

We have a trip booked for this September and have only paid the $200 down. Are you saying our ticket prices will not go up since the trip has been booked, even though it is not paid in full? That is what was said earlier, just making extra sure.

And the answer before the original post...I saw this several times on another thread just now. The weird thing is that the original posts were quoted in the replies, yet the replies were shown first. Weird.

No the package price will not change. The prices for packages are set for the year. It doesn't matter what happens to individual ticket prices. Those new prices won't be reflected until the package rates for 2012 are set. A person who books a package next week for December will pay the same as the person who booked the identical package last week.

Your ticket prices are locked in at the old rate, even if the package isn't paid in full . I had 1 day base tickets for our upcoming December trip as we hadn't decided yet on the number of park days we wanted. After reading of the price increase going into effect today, I called last night to upgrade the ticket days and make them hoppers.....I didn't know if I would have to pay the increased prices later on or not, so I played it safe and upgraded last night . The CM told me I did it just in time as the prices were increasing today (which I already knew). He said now I'm locked in at the old prices.....and my package is not paid in full.

Bought my tickets last night from Undercover Tourist. even though we do not visit until Nov. 9th saved a little money now.

we bought our 10 day passes today from undercovertourist for our trip in August. by buying today we saved almost $100.

we did not go with the hoppers. UT still had 10 day MYW tixs for 267.00. thats the mousesavers subscription discount.

UT is still selling the tickets at the previous rates until all their inventory is gone.

If I understand this thread correctly, tickets associated with a package did NOT go up, until the new packages are booked for dates in 2012. Since we do the math ala carte I can understand the confusion.

Here is my question, if I am on a package and we want to add DAYS or HOPPER to the admission that we already have associated with out package, after we start using them, will we get charged the new rate or the old?

We are likely to go to the parks the last part day of our trip, and I am planning on going back into the parks solo, after the wife and kids go to the hotel for the day, so I would want the hopper option. We were planning on going up to guest services and simply paying for the extras. Now the question becomes what would we pay?

If you use your ticket at least once before upgrading, you will be credited the new ticket price. Then you upgrade, and the new ticket price for the ticket you have will be credited against the new ticket price for the ticket you want. So, for example, if it's a 1 day ticket for which you paid $82, and you use it before upgrading, you'll be credited with a price of $85, and then the upgrade will be done with all the new pricing.
