TICKET PRICE INCREASE - Here It Is

buy the kid an AP to get the AP perks for the family

I don't know which perks can be had with a child's AP but the really good ones, like the resort discounts and the TIW membership, can't be attained with a child's AP.

I didn't know it was against the rules. Seriously did not know. I've told people to do it.

A lot of people have done it. I know people IRL who've done it.

No one likes a price increase, but it's pretty on par with past years and what other parks are doing...

I'm curious to see the 2013 resort rack rates. When do those typically come out?

The resort rates are listed at the bottom of the post in Mesaboy2's link. My guess is Sunday is when we will see the 2013 MYW Packages will be available for booking. As of now, the rates are unchanged, though!

P.S. Thanks Mesaboy2 for keeping us up to date. Enjoy your trip this weekend.:thumbsup2

The actual rule is that an adult AP must be presented at check-in for discounts, and TIW members must be age 21 or over. Neither is supposed to be given out based on a child's AP. If people have been getting either it's because someone at Disney didn't follow Disney's own rules. I know when I book AP rates, they don't always ask to see my AP when I check in.

If I buy an AP today online, I can use it later this year and the clock starts on first entry right?

$60 increase in the standard AP

Thanks for posting! Glad I saw it before I left work. Oh wait...nobody goes on DIS at work right? :rolleyes1

4 adult park hopper-waterpark option tickets for 7days

The WDW price was $377.00 a piece and as of June 3rd it's $367.00....$10.00 per ticket cheaper?

That can't be right, can it?

The one-year AP countdown does not start until the day of first use. You should be good. :thumbsup2

It appears the combo of park hopper & waterpark add-ons will cost less than before, so that would drop the price. Buying one or the other is going to be more expensive ($57 + tax), but buying both is cheaper ($79 plus tax). They are trying to give people an incentive to buy both, apparently.

Here's a question for all you savvy people... I currently have a premiere pass that I'll use for my trip to WDW in October, expiring October of this year. I don't plan to return to WDW until October 2013, but between then and October 2014 there could possibly be as many as four trips. ( October 2013, November 2013, May 2014, October 2014).

Can I purchase online, after I get back and my premium pass expires, an annual pass THIS OCTOBER, and it not become valid until I walk through the turnstiles NEXT OCTOBER, thereby getting this year's increases for next year's trip?

Or am I missing something completely?

Thanks!

:-)

Does anyone know if I can use gift cards to purchase Annual Passes over the phone (doesn't seem possible online)? I'm thinking running to Target and stocking up on $1100 on gift cards to buy 2 APs today.

Maybe you can help explain this to me. I already have my park tickets for my upcoming trip with parkhoppers. If we decided to add on the waterpark, do I pay another 57$ or would I pay just the difference between my parkhopper cost and the park hopper + waterparks cost?

Do you mean you want to buy a new AP voucher to activate in October 2013? If so, yes you can do that. Your voucher actually doesn't even have your name assigned to it until you turn it in at the ticket window. I had several vouchers sitting around for a few years as we kept renewing for awhile.

Yes, the time between date of purchase and date of first-use does not matter, it is theoretically infinite.

In fact, you should be able to buy an AP today at today's prices and not use it until October 2013 or beyond.

are these the increased prices?? the link I go to says 2012 rates.. so the 2013 rates will not be know until the 3rd correct?

Answer to my own question, they said I could only use 2 GC numbers. So that's not very useful.

Standard tourist APs went up 10.6% for an adult, and 16.7% for a child (due to the apparent price equalization).

The new combined PH/WPFM is interesting. I think that now makes it a lot cheaper to get the option rather than a single admission if you are only going once (borderline on a 1-day ticket).

If the rules don't change, and you've used the ticket at least once, then you should only have to pay the $22+tax difference to add WPFM. Hopefully Cheshire Figment can check on that.

So glad we have YES tickets this trip...

will already booked packages see a cost increase? booked FD with 2 day passes, with the intent to upgrade on arrival. that process isn't changing, is it?

add me to those intrigued by the hopper/water park option pricing :upsidedow

If you've already put your deposit, you shouldn't get any increase. However, when you upgrade your tickets, the upgrade rules should still apply as long as you use it first. You'll still be subject to the new prices on the destination ticket, but you'll get current value for the source ticket.

Unless the rules changed.
